Sounds like you liked it a lot, so why'd you give it a C+?

Hero in the Greek sense, as in someone who’s life events are worth recounting.

This is Game of Thrones at his best: when a hero - and I use this term very loosely - makes a single mistake that has grave repercussions for multiple characters at once.

Jenna, why do you review a show that you clearly hate?

The very least AV Club could do is have someone who enjoys this show review it. This rating is so comically low considering this show has better character development than GoT.

Not a lot of animal trainers out there with giant white stags

Huh. I thought the whole point of the Daemon scene at the end was that he WASN’T waiting for reinforcements, he pushed that crazy kamikaze attack at the end of the episode because he wanted to win before his brother’s reinforcements could arrive and make him  look weak. Was that not the take away?

It’s the two dragons Viserys promised (good timing! Definitely not a deus ex machina!).” The dragonfire is from Seasmoke, ridden by Laenor Velaryon. What are you even talking about? Did you watch this episode? Take some fucking notes or pay attention to the show you’re watching.

These recaps are terrible and certainly don’t qualify to be called reviews. Each week they completely misconstrue major plot points and needlessly whine about current day real-world morality not being observed in 6th century fantasy lands. They do not touch on production values in regards to writing, direction, cinemat

God, get someone to review this show that doesn’t have an active distaste for it. Jenna is trying to hate it without paying attention. Also forgetting that GoT was SUPER slow for about the first 5 episodes. I remember trying to get friends to “slog” through it and they’d all quit after a few eps until seasons later

It’s a challenge, you know: one doesn’t want to respond to a review with “you just don’t get it man” because the whole purpose of a program like this is to invite discussion: the ambiguities and uncertainties are explicitly designed to position different audiences differently. Its not overly prescriptive about where

I don’t mean to be rude, but these reviews are the worst....snarky recaps with almost no substance and numerous incorrect inferences. Anyone have a recommendation for true reviews of the episodes?

the king seems content in his marriage (to, I will stress once again, an underage girl)

I feel like I’m the only one who actually likes Jackie, and thinks she’s sympathetic. Yeah she’s clearly not endearing herself to the other girls, but she just found out her best friend betrayed her trust and has been lying about it for months, even as they both face a cold, miserable death in the woods. Like, she

I think Jackie is an alpha in “civil” society, and she is readjusting appropriately to not just the trauma, but the loss of respect she normally had. I also feel she’s the most skeptical and the least likely to give into the supernatural beliefs(unless it benefits her, but she’ll never be a full believer), so she’s

I’m so back and forth on Jackie’s ultimate role and fate.  Her stock with the group is so very low right now.  For a while I thought she would be the AQ, but now I think if anything she may wind up leading a rival clan of some sort.

I guess I am in the minority that I don’t feel like Jackie needs to be “cut down to size.” I mean she is going through a traumatic event, starving, and found out her best friend was sleeping with her boyfriend. (And don’t give me the “don’t blame the other woman” that only works if the other woman is a stranger. Not

meh I think Nat has seen her fair share of shitty straight men, and so have most of us. It was an easy way for her to clock Ben and I think that’s fine.

As a person who finds Ted Lasso okay, I’ve watched the season two discourse with wonder. It really surprises me that people are just now realizing Ted Lasso is a saccharin show where no one suffers real consequences. That’s been the show all along!

I think season two suffered more from a lack of conflict and clear

You really seem to be going into these episodes expecting not to like them, looking for things to pick apart. It feels like that more & more with each episode you review.
