To balance; I like it a lot more than I thought I would.

The idea is to simulate big gauges far in front of the vehicle so you don’t have to refocus your eyes.
I already really hate the “sport” for showing its ugly silhouette next to the other two.
This is extremely sad. And this guy and other “influencers” are the people kids look up to / career they want these days. Not good. We have a mental health epidemic.
“You should look up sales statistics of vehicle classes”
I have. Like Mercedes and Tesla.
When the top two luxury marques are going head-first into entry-level sedans, and you’re just catching up to the decade-old crossover craze, yes— you’re behind.
Especially when its happened to Lincoln with every emergent leading vehicle segment for the last 30 years.
I do like the XC40 but its one weak spot from the design is that if you get the roof matched with the body; it looks super chunky. Hence the two-tone press images.
And they absolutely have the best “corporate design” for working across different vehicle shapes.
“Buyers: Take my money!”
FFS, can we stop denying reality on Jalopnik? Lincolns aren’t selling.
“They need to stop cutting so many fucking corners, full stop. The CT4 is a joke compared to even the outgoing A3 , let alone the new one or the A4 right above it. Ditto the BMW and MB equivalents, and ditto every comparable vehicle type at every price point.”
I don’t get how so many people on Jalopnik have such little…
I don’t think there is a person in the world that doesn’t want that 2021 Escalade.
Stop that. Sales figures and historical examples are no place for a Jalopnik/Lincoln sausagefest. Remember, around here; GM bad. Ford Good.
“Lincoln is doing great because they are making Lincolns.”
This wasn’t true when they introduced the current Continental and it isn’t true now that axed it.
100%.
It may have something to do with younger generations still wanting sedans instead of crossovers. Crossovers are only going to help Cadillac in cataract demographic they already do well in.
Lincoln needs to stop being 10 years behind trends.
A-Class and Model 3 prove luxury buyers still want sedans. The pendulum will swing back and then back again.
They tried it but they were about ten years early. All the Denali/Lariat/Dubya edition trucks sold now make me think it is absolutely the right time.
Remember every time a new Cadillac comes out when jaloptrolls go crazy over how the Continental is the luxury car people really want? How its such an incredible success? Most people here will refuse to remember.
This thing was always ugly and bloated; and its interior was dated when it finally came out. The language…
How many fucking pictures of trump did they train this thing with?
That’s unfortunately what sent me down this rabbit hole. I have two; one from April 86 and one from June 85. Neither matches that hackaday board.
I’m completely with you though, these things are incredible. If I can’t find the video input, I might have to get a tiny radio modulator and do it through the antenna.
I…
