Sneakers are the wrong answer anyway. This person needs footwear designed for walking. Not for Basketball, running, or tennis. They’re going to be line standing, and walking shoes can take it.

Keeping these in mind for late fall/winter, I love a good pair of UGGs and these actually look sturdy.

Omg...I was part of the newlywed game on a cruise on our honeymoon. They played it on a loop on the cruise TV and people would recognise us and repeat our (my) embarrassing answers.

I kinda regret not being … not sluttier but not ‘going for it more....’ There’s at least one man I regret not banging so... maybe it’s not silly but sad. (Pretty sure he was a diagnosable Narcissist so my instincts probably served me well but damn he was pretty!)

In high school I was reading aloud in class and pronounced ‘Hyperbole’ as “Hyperbowl”.  I still visibly cringe when I remember that moment.

I faked a panic attack so I wouldn’t have to go to soccer practice and David Beckham just happened to be swinging by to coach that day. I cried for days when I found out afterwards. Got to see him weeks later, but it was just like a “hello children” waving as he walks by kinda thing. I never faked sick again.

My husband and I went on a honeymoon cruise, and one night the entertainment was a Newlywed Game style audience participation show where they picked a newlywed couple from the audience, a couple that had been married the longest, and a couple in between to participate as contestants. We were the newlywed couple. In

Once I was sitting in an airport bar waiting for my flight and a German couple was sitting next to me. At one point, the lady sneezed and I said “bless you” instead of gesundheit.” This happened a decade ago and I still think about it at least once a week.

I have those! I walk all over the city in them, but they are very warm and might be a little narrow for many people.

My therapist nudged me to go as well.  It was really helpful to be with other people experiencing similar things.  I hope that you’re able to find something to help you heal, whatever it is.

I am so so sorry for your loss.  It might be worth looking into al-anon as a way to work through some of the guilt you feel.

I really completely understand your post. I myself recently changed jobs, going from a place that I felt confident in my work and was well-respected. They offered me a promotion to stay, but I decided to go for this big new opportunity even though I heard some warning bells in the back of my mind. Working at home?

I didn’t know people could Jedi mind trick themselves until I saw Breitbart.

It’s a cult-like hive mind and nothing will affect the sycophants. In fact, 45 stirring them to violence is the next thing to watch out for. Granted, he’s already done it, but soon he will unleash the hordes.

I can only hope when this is all over Rudy, Barr and Trump see some prison time. That is literally my only goal in life at this point.

Girl, tone down the hair extensions. This isn't a Breck commercial.

my whistleblower vote

“Maybe the whistleblower is Fearless Girl. Maybe it’s the ghost of Amelia Earhart. Perchance it is the woman skunk that Pepe Le Pew chases. Maybe it’s Rosie the Riveter or a sentient pussy hat.”

Dean Baquet is the worst NYT executive editor since Jill Abramson.

So very brave of the Times to essentially expose the whistleblower to the very people most in a position to cause him and his family harm.
