Did he explain himself (as much as you could, I guess) after he reunited with you? Or did everyone just give him the silent treatment? I can’t imagine the awkwardness.

Doesn’t know what the fuck she’s talking about, and was given a large platform to disseminate completely false information. Like, shouldn’t people have at least a basic understanding of how things work before they’re allowed to discuss things in front of a very large and impressionable audience?
One of my first jobs out of college I worked at a place that had the typical, older white male board. They constantly made inappropriate remarks or gestures towards the female staff (e.g., “nice legs!” “come sit in my lap,” etc.). When we complained we were told they were just old and didn’t know better so we should…
Yeah, I think the important thing is, who is the butt of the joke? The big problem with rape jokes is that the person being made fun of is usually the victim, not the rapist. When Louis CK made jokes about Parkland, he was making fun of the victims, rather than the NRA nuts clutching their guns in terror. There is a…
I did my undergrad straight out of high school and my first two years were really rough. I suffered from depression and trying to keep my grades up, even though I had always been a good student, which made me feel like more of a failure. I went back to grad school in my 30s and it was a night and day experience. I…
Nope, just like you can’t touch your belly without being pregnant.
I agree, but I hope everyone is waiting the same about of time for surgery or procedure. An abortion or hysterectomy is a lot more urgent than an IUD. I only say this because this is the horror story Americans are told - “you’ll wait in a six month queue to have your cancer removed,” etc. if we get universal…
The Tia Clinic, a members-only doctor’s office that recently opened its first location in New York City, describes itself on Instagram as “part gyno’s office,” “part wellness center,” and “part lady fort.”
The Constitution is filled with amendments. The electoral college though largely works in Republicans’ favor and I don’t see them supporting an amendment to get rid of it anytime soon.
Came to say the same thing. I have a Swedish friend who introduced me to it and it’s great for groups.

Agree that Harvey is pretty boring, she needs to get with the warlock stat.
I was actually pleasantly surprised by how dark part one was (the thing with Harvey’s brother, wow). The acting wasn’t always top notch, but the set design was gorgeous and the aunts were my absolute favorite.
“Best wishes to all the murdered people!”
I can’t tell if it’s poor video quality or if her foundation is like two shades too dark?
It’s a really interesting read about how different our (American) society is compared to others when it comes to the funeral industry and how it takes advantage of grieving families. It’s one of those books that is relevant in conversations more often than you’d think.
I really enjoyed that book too and followed it with The American Way of Death: Revisited, by Jessica Mitford, which has completely changed how I feel about burial, etc.
When Calls the Court
I can actually see Jeff Bezos believing that the Wall Street Journal is basically his receptionist.
Dumpster fires are actually very consistent and accurate in what they do.
I’m not sure either. I think it’s extremely important to get kids engaged in both learning about our political system and advocacy, but I’m not sure I trust that kids just learning to drive or who have never worked really have the experience or knowledge to vote. Most likely they are still too indoctrinated by their…
