Clearly he never had a teacher remind him to read the whole prompt before responding.
I had a workmans comp injury and I had to go through this with them. Even all the doctors I saw would say, “Oh yeah, physical therapy doesn’t help with this injury but the insurance requires you do it anyway before you get other care.” So not only was I forced to go through something I didn’t need and have actual care…
Oh yeah, 100% agree. My point is that the server is in a much trickier situation than the customer, who has the power in the dynamic.
lol, k
Usually when someone completely dismisses or doesn’t acknowledge the victim and goes immediately to, “but what about when the other person is the victim!” it is whataboutism (e.g., “what about people who are falsely accused!” etc.). If that really wasn’t your intent here, I’m sorry, but it does come off that way.
I thought it was because their eggs aren’t washed, which otherwise removes the eggs’ protective barrier.
The customer is not relying on the tip or job security and can respectfully correct, they are in the position of power, not the server. But you knew this.
I’m so sorry for your loss. It is so unimaginably cruel to have to make a decision like that in a short amount of time. It actually works against parents who would like more time to see whether or not terminating is the best choice.
It reminds me more of a dude with a beer belly asking for another Bud Light.
My husband casually gave me a book he said he liked and pointed out a particular page he said I should read. In it, he circled a passage where the character asked, “Will you marry me?” If I didn’t already know he was a keeper, asking me to marry him through a book would have definitely sealed the deal.
Yeah, I commuted to SF from the East Bay for 10 years before I finally got a job on this side. I still go to SF occasionally to visit friends, but I always have to debate whether or not 2+ hours of commuting is worth the visit.
But they never want to take BART either!
One of the first questions I get from people who visit or move here is always, “So, uh, what’s up with all the human feces?”
People will cross the Bay for work, but rarely for anything else. I moved to the East Bay many years ago and you’d have thought I’d moved across the country for how often I can get SF friends to visit me on this side...
Yes, I’ve had the same problem in every European country I’ve been in. The waiter will ask if I need anything else, I say no and just assume that means the check will come, but they will literally let you sit there for another hour twiddling your thumbs unless you flag them down and directly ask for the check, to…
I don’t think the issue in the letter is that people are staying past the kitchen closing, but they are staying well past the time their meal is finished and are using up the next reservation’s time slot. If I’m a walk-in to a restaurant, I find that the host is usually very upfront with telling me they can seat us…
This article is timely because I just ordered CBD oil for the first time to try. I think it’s true of any medication that it will work for some people and not for others, and while the studies are limited the ones that are out do show some promise. I do know lots of people who swear by it for their dogs, especially…
