Thanks, your review actually makes me more interested in seeing it.
I, too, believe in Pop Tart’s ability to survive the apocalypse.
But now she has a motive!
My grandma had one of these trees too, I loved it. I’m not sure who got it, hopefully it didn’t get thrown out. I’m usually the keeper of antique objects because no one else ever wants them.
I am admittedly very behind in all things teen.
Enjoy! I actually just bought a second one. It’s pretty much the only thing saving my new couch from total destruction.

I have this post too and it’s literally the best scratching post I’ve bought that my cats consistently use. Mine didn’t have a smell at all. It was easy to put together and the screws are very recessed (I also have hardwood floors). I haven’t had a problem with the top not being secure.

Either not alive or being held against her will. My guess is she decided she wanted a divorce, and they forcibly detained her.
Yes, we had to pick them up ourselves and it was some weird grocery store that wasn’t convenient to public transportation. Most of us didn’t have cars either. It would have been better if they had just given us gift cards that we could use on whatever, but the president was insistent that they had to be used on…
Not as bad but reminds me a little of my mom when right before my wedding she demanded that I let my step-dad walk me down the aisle instead of my dad (lots of drama around this). I flat out told her “no” and it wasn’t a discussion, and to this day she talks about how I was a “bridezilla.”
Gah, one job I had also cut the Christmas bonuses one year and gave us vouchers for turkeys. It was more insulting because they had the money for bonuses, but they felt like they should show the public they were “cutting back.” Note the CEO still got a massive raise.
I agree, although I completely embarrassed myself once by saying so. My in-laws (before they were my in-laws) handed me a wrapped present and I exclaimed how nice it was for them to think of me and give me a gift and then I went into a diatribe about how no one is thoughtful like that anymore and people just give gift …
When you get further into Prairie Fires, you’ll learn more about how Laura whitewashed a lot of her family’s history, especially “Pa’s,” to make it seem like he was more successful than what he was. The fictional books still obviously show a lot of the challenges, but the reality was much worse.
If you’re morally objected to women receiving medication, sometimes lifesaving, odds are you actually have no morals.
Same. I didn’t grow up in a family as extreme as hers, but I actually felt like I related to the author a lot in the desire to please or agree with my family even if it’s self-destructive. Same with her family gas lighting her or denying certain events happened. It was really eye opening.
It was, it was published posthumously in 2018 after her death in 2016. #corrections
Yes, you acknowledge that when you buy the tickets, and you also don’t have the right of expectation of privacy in public venues.
