That’s not how I read it. I mean yeah, you can complain and be upset about voter turnout at elections, but are we really saying we are “upset about their passion” and we’d rather them be compliant because fuck it at this point we deserve it?

Are you actually saying “you’re annoyed” that progressives are upset about how this woman was treated and that we’ll have someone on the Supreme Court who has regularly assaulted women? Yes, voter turnout for midterms is a problem, but that doesn’t mean everyone is supposed to ignore the shit show that our country is

Yeah, I guess I should say I also live in California where it’s very normalized here. Maybe in other parts of the country they are more weird about it.

In all seriousness, I’ve always looked for your byline and enjoy not only everything you write, but the way you interact with readers too. You will be very missed, but I have a feeling we’ll be hearing from you again from wherever your career takes you. Best of luck! xo

Last week, a server referred to my wife as “dude.”

Yeah, his wife in the first documentary (now ex) said that he regularly beat and threatened her and that she had to be supportive of him in the film because she feared for her life. This guys is a scumbag and I’m mad at myself for watching this sympathizing portrayal of him (justice system still sucks though).

We’re conditioned to blame it on ourselves, but please believe it was not your fault your trauma was dismissed.

I’m so sorry your teacher, a supposedly trusted authority figure, dismissed your trauma. This is why women don’t speak out.

Not only does he have a history of torturing and killing animals, but the documentary completely left out that Avery was basically stalking this woman and had called her dozens of times. One of Avery’s underage relatives also accused him of raping her. I think there were obviously a lot of problems with how the case

Many people don’t know this, but there are actually NO protections in place for animated children.

I’m so sorry, that’s awful. I’ve also had a bad relationship with food most of my life. You don’t suck as a human being, our bodies do change with age. I often feel myself longing for the body I had when I was anorexic, even though I was extremely unhealthy and severely depressed at that time. Our culture is really

There was actually a study I read awhile ago that showed that Fitbits aren’t very accurate (results varied widely) and that they didn’t actually lead to increased weight loss (most people stopped moving after they supposedly met their goal). One study showed that people wearing Fitbits lost significantly less weight

Healthy habits are good, but obsessively counting calories can also become extremely destructive and lead to eating disorders and low self-esteen. I was anorexic as a teen, and I still have to be very careful about any dieting I do, especially ones that have strict, set numbers.

I think some people also need/prefer an accountability system to other, which most of these types of groups have. I was in an online exercise group for awhile and it really did motivate me to exercise because I didn’t want to have to report back that I didn’t.

I think tracking calories as a child is sad. Children should be aware of what a healthy meal looks like, but they shouldn’t have that level of obsessiveness about it.

I was recently in Girona, Spain which features the church where Cersei began her walk of shame. I was very surprised there wasn’t anyone there renting out or selling large bells, missed opportunity. (There was a small shop nearby with a cheap mock throne that you could pay to get a picture with.)

I’m not sure if I would call that a public proposal. I think it’s more the ones that involve the public in some way, like asking the question on the big screen at a baseball game or something.

I kind of feel this way about Sandra Bullock and I don’t know why either. I just get really irritated whenever I see her face or hear her voice.

Did you wait all night in a pumpkin patch too only to be disappointed?

Is he trying to hiss at that reporter?
