Ah. Carry on then.
Ah. Carry on then.
“‘Himbo’ is the male equivalent.”
I’m confused about whose side you’re on. You hate MoviePass, and when I didn’t see what the big deal was you said it was bad for their investors, and I said oh boohoo poor venture capitalists, and then you agreed that they don’t deserve our sympathy!
You confuse me, Yummsh.
I weep for the VC firms.
What did they do that was so bad? It was great for the subscribers while it lasted, and they’re hardly being “screwed over” now; they can cancel their very modestly priced subscription if the service is no longer worth it to them. Is there something I’m missing? To me it just looks like MoviePass tried something very…
Generalizing from myself, women buy no razors because they decided shaving wasn’t adding anything to their lives, but the last razor purchase by a woman was a pack of men’s razors in China because they were way cheaper, and some of those are probably still sitting in her medicine cabinet and maybe she should give them…
Both bare bones razors and fancy razors with moisturizer and grippy handles and a million blades are available in men’s and women’s versions, and there is often a price difference between very similar prodcuts.
I agree that they are not doing it because they are trying to screw over women, but I don't think that's the only explanation other than "it's the most profitable thing to do." Like most people in our sexist world, they think of men as the default humans and women as a variant. Men's products are the baseline because…
Most men’s deodorants, body washes, and what have you are not unscented. This is not about scented products costing more than unscented, it’s about “girly” scents and packaging costing more than “manly” scents and packaging.
They could do it to men instead though. If the cheaper versions were pink, you can bet your ass men would pay extra for navy blue razors.
The fancy, extra-odor-blocking, perfumed men’s deodorant with vaguely-science-y graphics on the label also costs less than your wife’s deodorant.
The razor companies could get away with more markup if they did this in reverse. Men are more averse to buying pink razors than women are to buying blue razors, and also have more money. Jacking up prices on “women’s” products relies on women’s willingness to buy them, sure, but the decision to do this to women…
Yes, but there are a lot of reasons that doesn’t happen.
You could go outside and walk around a little. I can understand being pretty angry that they’re making it harder to cram a meal and the mental break you get from stepping outside your place of work into your 30 minutes.
So Archie Panjabi “is” straight, but Alan Cumming “identifies as” bisexual? I suppose both are perfectly good ways to talk about sexual orientation, but using both this way makes it sound like you take straight people at their word just a bit more.
Teddy goes to the Valley Beyond because Dolores sends him there. Teddy’s the “last soul” she’s talking about to Bernard before she shoots him.
Came here to ask where my Two Tone documentary is.
FNL is back on hulu. Rejoice!
I loved those so, so much, but found 45 Years unwatchable.
