I don't like that plot line either, but CJ's hot, and he sees through Agustín's bullshit. Besides, Frank liked him, which I'm realizing as I write this is not actually such a good endorsement.

There are also ways in which he seems more mature around Kevin though. He has the good sense to back away from his flirtation with Kevin multiple times, and he so rarely displays good sense around Richie. I can't decide if that's just serving the plot or if there's something more there.

Their dynamic about money is one of the many tiny, spot-on threads in this show.

Perhaps it's that he's more comfortable with Kevin in a superficial way. He banters with Kevin easily, but he never drops this put-on, flirty banter. With Richie he's either being really stiff and making an ass of himself or having an actual conversation.

Fuck Richie, marry Frank, kill Agustín quickly this week because he was kind of pitiful.
