Tuesday began my last week of walking three times a week; next week i start the Couch to 5K. And I'm actually looking forward to it! Also, I've got my average walking time per mile down to a little over 16 minutes.

If you're into the idea of an English movie from 1973 that deals with a motorcycle gang who discovers that the secret to living forever as the undead is A) worshiping frogs, and B) killing yourself while thinking really really hard about coming back to life after, then you might like Psychomania.
I think the stomach issues I've been dealing with might be IBS. :( Beats the hell out of a gluten issue, which I thought it was earlier this summer, but still. Ugh.
Happy birthday! Wow, you got to meet Springsteen.
That is actually spot on.
I just sort of snip off the end with Trip's death in my head. Didn't happen. In my reality, when everyone moved on, they kicked Archer upstairs to an ineffectual desk jockey job and Trip went on to captain the Enterprise. Whenever Archer gave him the conn, he always proved to be a much better captain.
I don't hate Into Darkness either. I am a Benedict Cumberbatch fan (I know he's unpopular around these parts) and it was delightful to me to get to see him in a Star Trek movie. That's the big reason for me. There are also enough scenes I enjoy to make it worthwhile on re-watch for me.
I hated Generations at the time (mostly) but have softened on it since. Even then, and to this day, I love Soren's line "time is the fire in which we burn." (Apparently a line from a poem by Delmore Schwartz, which I only just learned now.)
I only have one contact in right now and I had to keep covering one eye and trying to read that. Like, is that my crap vision, or did they actually type that?
I'm still not sure if they meant to - and with their general ham-handedness, I''m sure they didn't - but I found it fascinating, despite myself, that Archer was shown to very clearly be an asshole. He was a terrible captain, and even at times, a total dick. It was an interesting, um, exercise?
Should have beamed Archer out into space.
You could start with the second season finale "The Expanse" and watch from there through the end of the series*. It begins the Xindi arc and therefore, the good stuff. The early third season episode "Twilight" is possibly the best episode they ever did. (The episode "Similitude," a couple of episodes later, is its…
Right? This is the first time I have ever heard Insurrection referred to as "superior." And while I think Enterprise is a bit underappreciated, Voyager is about as appreciated as it should be.
Will do!
Hold Me is one of my favorites too. I had no idea they were working on an album either! Or touring again. I went to the last tour and it WAS expensive. Start saving now.
Got a big bump on my credit limit on one of my cards. I'll need to show restraint, obviously so I don't get in over in my head, but now I will be able to transfer balances and pay another card off faster, and then I will finally be able to afford some household repairs and even my dream trip to England!
Your wife is brave.
Ugh, the feeling of being leered at while you work out. So gross and unsettling.
I envy you having a place to swim - pool access is expensive. Swimming at night sounds nice.
Oh my gosh. Best of luck - I hope it's gone and you won't have to worry about it anymore.
