Not what I’m doing, but ok.
Not what I’m doing, but ok.
Maybe.
Fair enough.
Um, excuse me? You just made so many insulting and offensive assumptions about me. You don’t have to fucking explain rape to me—it is a lived reality. And don’t you dare accuse me of “contributing to rape culture.” I’m just trying to hold people accountable.
The legal argument holds up, and I do wonder if she has been advised by her lawyers to tread lightly here.
You make some excellent points. Dcgirl13 said something kind of similar about the evolution of the legal definition of rape over time, as well. I’d have to agree with both of you, and mention that these are subtleties I hadn’t considered when I first watched the video.
Well, I’m not entirely convinced that she even did a good job of fully condemning the behavior. Her statements have been contradictory, and then there was that whole Twitter thing you mentioned.
I don’t know, man. Did you read what he wrote? It made me literally sick. I think I would come to that decision in a split-second. But of course I can’t speak for anyone else, and also of course I don’t know the guy personally.
Well, I don’t know if I would go so far as to say that there’s any money exchanging hands between the industry and Jezebel, but it’s a mutually beneficial relationship, for sure.
He has exhibited a pattern of similar behavior, for one. Second, as I’ve said before, I don’t care what she does in her personal life—I care what she publicly says and does to address this issue. There’s another comment down thread that says this better than I will here, but she should have said, “I unequivocally…
I’m not saying she needs to cut him out of her personal life. I am saying that when she publicly said she still loved him, I lost any affection for her and seriously question her judgment in other matters as well.
And I suspect you have the same problem since you’re so incredibly rude. We’re done now.
Yes, thank you.
Haha, thank you.
So, this is probably the 15th time I’ve said this tonight, but: It’s because, after taking some of the appropriate steps (denouncing his words, and maybe(?) firing him), she went on national TV and said she loves him.
But then again you’re not going on TV and talking about how much you love her.
I’m super spotless at the moment, thanks—my birth control is working really well.
So, do you have any real arguments here or...
No, it’s not. HUAC was the government. I’m a random chick on the Internet.
