Not to worry, at all. I apologize if I’m coming across harshly. This is the most inundated I’ve been with replies in quite some time, and I may not have taken the time to add those niceties that help w/tone in Internet conversations. :)

Also, I thought you were done?

I’m going to say the same thing to you that I said to SpaceMilius.
To address your last point, please see my replies above. I’m not holding her accountable for his actions, I’m just holding her accountable for hers.
For example, what she said about lesbians generally/Tig Notaro specifically. http://jezebel.com/it-sounds-like…
I’m pretty sure I never said she was or should be that.
Haha, college is recent for me. But I think it might be one of those things that will always feel recent, if that makes sense. Guess I’ll have to wait and see.
She’s a public figure and a well-known feminist. You’re not, one can assume.
K
Her words that weren’t, “Hey, can you stop because that is an unconscionable thing to do to another human being?” and her words that were “I love him.”
Again, not what I’m doing. Metzger should be held accountable for his actions, and Amy should be held accountable for her words. Separate things.
Ok, well, I don’t. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Especially since I’m ragging on her over her actions and her judgment, not over his.
This is absolutely true, and something I hadn’t considered when I first watched this.
Did you read what he wrote? It was vile. And it’s not the first time he’s written something like that. I’d question the judgment and character of anyone who’d choose to remain friends with and publicly profess love for the writer of that tirade.
Because she’s better known, because she still says she “loves” him, and because she has a spotty record with other social issues.
Because word choice really, really matters in situations like this. I get that he didn’t intend to say that rape hasn’t always been what we see it as today. But this is an incredibly delicate subject, and he should have known better than to use the phrase “what rape is becoming.”
Not at all what I’m saying. I’m saying that I don’t like her equivocation. I’m saying that her actions don’t align with her words. Hell, her words don’t align with her words.
I am SO DONE with Amy Schumer. I’ve given this lady enough chances. She no longer deserves the benefit of the doubt. She’s constantly equivocating over issues like this. Take a fucking stand, Amy, or else step off the damn podium.
It’s not an either/or situation. It’s both/and.
