Haha, also fair enough. My initial reaction was total annoyance and anger at this guy, which stemmed mainly from my experiences with creepy exhibitionist nudists in San Francisco who honestly either get off on making other people uncomfortable and/or don’t care about how anyone else feels. But now I’m having doubts…
Well, that’s fabulous, and I regret my ignorance of NYC law. However, it’s my understanding that the police WEREN’T seeking this guy until a public outcry occurred. That’s the inaction I was referring to in my original post.
Anyone complaining that having an all-female cast is a “cash grab” clearly doesn’t get that Hollywood historically has refused to see women in lead roles as anything other than a box office liability. See: every action movie ever made.
So, let me get this straight. Female nipples are lewd and require police action, but balls dangling on a plastic seat (that’s been warmed by the heat of a New York summer) and displayed to a captive audience are totally fine and not actionable? Nice, NYPD.
Gonna perform this monologue at the next open mic night at my college theater. Thx, Bobby.
If he doesn’t come out with a new album, he should write a book. He’s a damn poet.
We have all those walls in the Mission! You know, Clarion Alley and Balmy Street all that.
Thanks for putting it like that. An excellent way to understand this whole mess.
Thank you!! :) Now this is a birthday gift I can get behind.
IT DOES. Thank you. :)

John McCain: Not as good a guy or as “moderate” a Republican as the Republicans would have you believe.
The era of all my musical theater friends singing these songs nonstop just BARELY ended! Please, must it return so quickly? Will I never hear the end of “Popular?”
Correction: Brendan O’Brien committed suicide in September, not May. I worked for the Oakland mayor’s office at the time, and I was at the funeral.
I was going to say something useful here, but I am so disgusted that I just can’t. Noping out so hard on this.
To be fair, Disney has been trying to pivot from “princess movies” to “adventure movies with princesses” in order to appeal to both/all genders of kids.
Fair enough. It’s definitely hard to see positive motives for anyone involved in this case.
Maybe I’m not getting what you mean, but it seems that this is a pretty weird way to view the whole situation. I mean, the letter stands on its own as an awful, awful thing. We don’t need to come up with weird, unfounded theories about why Rasmussen wrote it. You don’t have to be in love with someone, or desperate for…
