A foldable? Really? Foldable phones just seem like a gimmick that is more susceptible to damage and/or quality control issues. And for what? So you can make your phone half as short and twice as fat in your pocket? I prefer they improve on what they’ve got and innovate in more practical ways.

Hack? So when did the definition of “hack” change mean the same as “mod”?

I honestly don’t get it. I’m lucky in that I can receive all local channels with a small antenna, but I know people who live in apartments that can barely get any. For them, getting “Free” over the air broadcasting is simply not an option.

I mean, so does Gizmodo. But it’s been a steady decline for years

Lol. But for real, if you have iOS, the Notes app has a decent document scanning feature.

Come to think of it, I don’t remember either! I vaguely remember discovering a rainbow road shortcut on my own and wonder if this inspired me to search the internet. It also could have been late 90’s when it was getting easier to find things. My memory is shitty, but god did I lose a lot hours in that game.

Oh? This was the mid 90’s (before YouTube and such) so assumed speed running wasn’t a serious competitive sport. When did it start?

Back in the day I discovered you could hop the walls in Wario Stadium if you timed your jumps just right. One day I got super persisted and beat the whole race in something like 22 seconds. This was all before speed-runs were a thing. Fun times.

Yeah but they also got a ton of press and attention going this route. Don’t get me wrong — their marketing track record would say this was NOT on purpose, but maybe this extra attention would be better in the long run

This is sooo Microsoft, though. It’s every obvious they incorporate very little user research in their marketing decisions.

I don’t understand why more people don’t get this. If you are single with no kids that would never buy theater popcorn, then sure, it’s a bad deal. But even in those cases you still get watch it “free” on the regular Disney+ service in a few months. You are paying for the experience of watching with a group of

That’s what I thought. Guess I shouldn’t just automatically trust what others say

Holy shit that’s a lot of game-switching. Good on you!

Oh, wow. I didn’t know you couldn’t play next gen games on the non-proprietary externals. Thanks for the heads up!

Regarding game size, MS and Sony should really be spinning it that the SSD is where you store your active games and cheap external storage for all other games. Even then, the only loss is faster load times.

They are dying. They need all the ad revenue they can get

If you afraid of too much heat and smoking, try using 100% grape seed oil. It’s what I use.

Was in the same boat. Website gave no option to buy/claim pins after I completed all the missions, nor were there any instructions. I figured I’d get an email or something...

Exactly. I’m guessing it’s the same LIDAR tech that’s also in iPhones to detect shapes in the 3D space, just not as robust as Face ID

I’ve always thought Netflix should have done something similar. They could have transformed their their DVD-by-mail service to an extra premium service where subscribers could watch a limited number of new movies a month. I mean, there was already a practical limit to the number of DVDS someone could milk from their
