You may have just gotten a bad one, I have a Samsung also, and haven't restarted it for weeks. My Android tablet's up time is in the hundreds of hours.

You probably already know about it, but JuiceDefender is the best thing for your battery, it manages data use when in sleep, it will give you many more hours per charge. I got my drain down to 2mA with it. Without it was around 60.
