You are conflating decriminalization of sex work with decriminalization of pandering (pimping) and brothels. There is a huge difference between not arresting women who are doing sex work - especially those who work outdoors, which are those who are the most frequently targeted, and are often WOC and/or trans women -

Yeah, I guess my 17 years in different parts of the sex industry hasn’t given me any life experience let alone experience in or knowledge about sex work. Someone who’s never worked in the industry *must* know so much more about it than me. Thank god you came along to set me straight.

So what’s your plan, then? Keep it criminalized so that workers keep getting arrested (and those that do are mostly non-white, not-upper middle class, with a significant amount of trans women)? That’s not going to help anyone get out of the industry, or keep their kids or their housing. And it will allow law

Personally, I’m exhausted by the idea that we have to accept other women’s racism/classism/cisgenderism simply because they identify themselves as “feminists” and sometimes talk about body image, abortion and equal pay. There is room for debate and discourse among women, and there needs to be space for critique of the

That is a great question. Thank you for asking.

Zero percent surprised at any of this. These are to women who:

Correct. We only have to fight men who judge white women’s weight. Everything else is nbd anymore according to these two “queens”.

That is such majorly backwards thinking.

It seems like dudes think women are turned on by them being “involved” with their kids/families. Tindr is chock full of profiles with galleries of mostly kid shots (sometimes the main photo!) or whole family shots including the wife, paired with underwear photos and “looking for something discrete (sic); not looking

Finally got out of the greys here and on The Slot (eeeeee!).

Yes indeed. I don’t think anyone defines his ick as good except for men in their 60s and 70s who like to think that of course young girls will be devestated by not being with them.

Depends on how you define “good”. If good is movies about girls chasing men old enough to be their grandfathers and getting their hearts broken (bc what 20 year old can live without getting some d from Larry David, amirite?) then yes.

Yessssss. We are powerful enough to make good men turn bad and make them treat women in ways they wouldn’t otherwise.....but we aren’t competent enough to speak for ourselves, give knowing consent or have knowledge of our own lives. Quite the brain teaser!

Logic like Lena Dunham’s is so frustrating. So if someone isn’t a “heroine” then they do deserve it? You shouldn't have to earn not having to experience racist attacks.

I think about the hating someone you don’t even know to the point of doing fucked up stuff like this - or worse - a lot.

He’s absolutely right about Black people having to worry about getting shot by members of their (or their friend’s) neighborhood:

Oy, that Black should be Bleck. Stupid autocorrect.

Hello! It is so nice to see more sex workers on here (if you identify that way; if not then sex worker ally). Thank you for reading! And yes, it would be great if there were more articles about sex work written by actual sex workers with varying jobs/perspectives. But I guess that’s what Tits and Sass is for.....

Thank you for taking the time to read such a long one! I totally agree that it shouldn’t be used for education for teens or anyone. It should be emphasized that it is entertainment, that things are spliced together, that some positions and time frames aren’t realistic for the sake of being entertainment, etc.

Thank you (and thanks for reading such a long post).
