I really like the Warren VP idea. It’s a good olive branch for voters like me who wanted a more progressive candidate, and – not to be a dick – but there’s a likelier chance than usual she’d become president before the term is up.

Fellow Deaniac here (first campaign I ever contributed time and money to!) so I remember wholeheartedly supporting a candidate who went almost nowhere in the actual elections. Was a great learning experience: taught me that Democratic Party voters are sometimes just looking for the blandest option they can find on the…
Only replying to tell you to fuck off. Supporting Biden’s candidacy and recognizing he’s the lesser of two evils on a ballot are two completely different things.
I first parsed that as “Ted Bundy” and thought, “well, when you compare body counts...”
I’m just a bit older than him, closer to the upper limit of Millennial. So my first election was 2004. I really think that is a MAJOR break within my generation. If you were able to vote in 2004 instead of 2008, it really changes a lot of how you view things. I had the benefit of being one of the Deaniacs, and then…
2000 - I remember sitting up until 3 in the morning because results still hadn’t come in, before I finally went to bed. When I got up, Gore had conceded, and the following weeks made it feel like the election had been stolen.
Agreed. I would vote for probably 90% of the Republican ticket over Trump. Christ, if he were still eligible, I would vote a third term for Dubya over Trump.
I like all the links they put at the end of Barf Bags to the effect of, “Let’s have Elizabeth Warren handle this crisis!” or similar sentiments...after pretty much ignoring her in favor of Bernie for the entire primary.
I’m a card carrying lefty pinko and nobody is as bad as Trump. Not even Ted Cruz.
Oh didn’t you know that the twenty something pseudo Marxists are here to educate us on how Biden is three same as Trump?
You know what’s less exciting than Biden? Four more years of Trump. Scratch that, another Trump term is downright terrifying.
Your username speaks volumes. Bernie supporters *did* turn out and vote for Hillary in 2016. Much more so than Hillary voters turned out for Obama in 2008.
Just an absolutely amazing job of coalition building here.
Remind me again how Biden was the only electable one?
That’s Gould, Jerry, Gould!
If there were ever a time to leave a letter grade out of the mix, this probably could have been it.
The fun part is you can tell who is listening to Rush or Hannity or any of those other choads by the buzz phrases they use.
“I honestly can’t even fathom how ANYONE can think what the current president is doing right now is anything resembling “leadership”.”
I concur. Incidentally, god fucking dammit.
