“You don’t understand, it’s a completely different situation when the ruling could go against us. Democrasssssy!”

INDEED

No spoilers from me because everyone (well, OK, most people) should see this movie, but that final shot is so perfect. On par with the last shot of Whiplash in terms of resonance and viewer satisfaction.

Oh I do as well! In fact, not long ago I owned two.

I live in the Pacific Northwest and I swear every 1 out of 4 residents drives some sort of Subaru model.

That spaghetti scene alone was a spectacular acting moment. Great movie indeed.

I’ve seen this movie many times. Sam Jackson definitely says ‘Brad.’ I always took it as belittling or making fun of Brett’s name since it comes after Sam Jackson has already established the character’s name as Brett.

It’s worth watching but I’d put it a peg or two below the first and (especially) second seasons. I love David Thewliss but there was something off about how he played the villain compared to Billy Bob or, well, everyone in season 2. Carrie Coon and Mary Elizabeth Winstead are excellent, though, and there are some inter

Thank God he didn’t kneel because that would have been truly disrespectful.

As someone who loves the novel and 2000 movie, I recommend it. There are a lot of references to the movie, as well as the novel (i.e., the scene with the woman giving away her husband’s record collection), but it adds some cool new elements to the story’s universe.

Glad to hear your boyfriend is doing better now. All the best to you both!

Related to this, the Republicans have already started spinning the “he died of colon cancer” narrative.

“...this great country”

Seattle-area person here, I think you might be referring to a different incident. A few weeks back, there was a man who drove into the CHOP at a high rate of speed, but the vehicle was stopped and people tried to pull him out of the vehicle; a shooting occurred, but everyone in that situation ended up walking away

Frankly, Mahershala Ali should just play everybody from now on. James Bond, dude from Fast and the Furious, Harry Potter, etc. The film industry will be much better for it.

Not only that, but Jones also got his ONLY career Oscar nomination for playing the same role in the film.

That’s an important part of the take-away. The whole reason he’s being blasted for a well-known sketch now is because Fox News is leading the charge.

Yeah, if he still gets to host the Emmys that will be complete horseshit, given what happened to Hart.

I was wondering when Kimmel’s Karl Malone was going to enter the conversation. I told my partner about its existence a couple weeks back and they were floored.

“will soon debut his directorial debut”
