I love love love this comment. It’s so easy for gamers to dismiss anything that gets to the level of popularity Fortnite has achieved, which I’m sure will happen the longer this review is published.

It’s telling that a review about Fortnite spends so much time not on the game itself, but the culture that surrounds Fortnite.
A couple of old friends and I met him in 1999 when Dogstar played The Blue Note in Columbia, MO. This was also not long after The Matrix was released. We were three college girls trying to play it cool because we got to go backstage. First off —
Keanu: “Hi, I’m Keanu. What’s your name? Did you guys enjoy the show?”
I…
“as they expected to be able to at the game’s release” I... I didn’t. I like the solitary exploration experience. Hope there’s more stuff beyond (pun intended :P) the online aspects
How about Ellen Page, who chose to make an issue out of this when he’s just talking about his personal faith, reach out to him to have a dialog before trying to stir up people online? The “call someone out online to mobilize the mob against them” move isn’t really acting in good faith, but instead immediately putting…
This reminds me of my absolute favorite story from the life of Jesus: Jesus and the Centurion. For those not familiar, Jesus, after giving his Sermon on the Mount, was approached by a Centurion or a delegation on his behalf (the account varies depending on which gospel you read), who pleaded with Jesus to heal a…
Gamers are just the biggest fucking babies.
Ugg youngins. Hehe as a, just about to turn 40 gamer, I get confused every time I read some of these posts. D1 = Diablo 1. D2 = Diablo 2. To us old guys! Just messin with ya of course :)
I’m always amazed that games that look better than we could have imagined 5 years ago but don’t look *quite* as good as a comparable game somehow look “terrible”.
Yeah, it’s arguably not as pretty as Destiny 2. But that has the advantage of being a sequel and was able to build off the architecture of the previous game.
i say this with no irony: gamers should be exterminated
I can say with 100% certainty that I do not need more Goat Simulator in my life. More Steamworld, however, is something I whole-heartedly support, although I really loathe card games.
FYI - I had never heard the term and so searched for “tate mode” to discern its meaning: apparently it’s from the Japanese word for vertical (縦) and is pronounced “tah-tay”.
To be fair, you can’t truly be Spider-Man unless anyone who knows you for more than 5 minutes turns out to be a supervillain.
“This is my worry, too; if they knew it was in the pipe, they should’ve said, “Hey, look, it’s coming—just chill out.””
They could have handled this way more gently, and that response was imho, what probably threw them into overtime to get this out asap... even if this was free and nobody had any right or entitlement to the costume being in the game, it was teased, and then they responded to fan outcry in a bad manner
That said the original 3DS was priced at around $250 which isn’t much less than a refurbished Switch at Gamestop. Still I agree they are not in direct competition, for the most part. Really Nintendo doesn’t need to replace the New 3DS yet and can just continue releasing a few games on it.
SonicFox is our king right now. He is a genuinely kind and awesome guy.
After Red Dead Redemption swept the early awards, I figured it was a shoo-in for GotY. I dunno if the whole crunch controversy had anything to do with it, but I’d rather have God of War win anyway, if only because of Teal’c.
