You are clearly forgetting the greatness of “gorlami.” But yes, the movies isn’t really all that great.

That’s exactly right.  You get the double dose of depreciation.  And for a city car, they’re fantastic, with the range extender version (depending on the year) allowing for 120-180 miles.  Perfect for a commuter car to keep miles off of something you actually care about.

I actually find it’s a great car for those who live in urban-ish areas and who own a classic car or two as well. The range is good enough to get around town, they’re dead reliable, great acceleration to 40mph and SUPER cheap used. I mean you can buy those things all day long for around 15k and for 15k it’s a great car.

I mean AA sucks for sure but that policy is universal as you mention. However, I will say that Delta is just a better airline in general - far better on-time and cancellation percentages (nearly 15X better), way better customer service (as in more willing to work through fuckery like this), and I just enjoy the people

Yeah I don’t disagree that it is available.

I think it depends on how you’re looking at the situation.

Yeah, why make performance a part of the sport?  Auto racing is one of the only sports where the “competitors” include the crew.  That they do a great job should be heralded, not minimized.

Well I wasn’t planning on moving to the midwest but I’m definitely not going to now. That sounds horrible.

I’ll admit I am ignorant to the northern cities and to the midwestern cities so this is an honest question - if potholes are as bad as you and others here say, are low profile tires really any worse in that situation?  If they are so incredibly large and so numerous, does the tire sidewall make *that* much of a

As much as I love the Viper, I wouldn’t buy a first gen. You can still get the raw, visceral driving experience but with a car that has windows, A/C, exterior door handles and a roof when you want it if you buy a second-gen roadster (or even better the GTS coupe).

I’ve driven a 911 with stock 20" wheels for a few years through LA, over numerous potholes and never experienced a problem. Before that it was an AMG with 20" standard wheels, never a problem.

Because it’s proven to be very profitable. When a tech leader goes and pitches to VCs, the metric that matters is exits. The company never has to make money - if you get in early and the can stick with the company til an IPO, you’re gonna make a fuck ton of money off of it.

I’ve only actually seen Spaceballs, I’ve watched none of the Star Wars movies.  So most of what I know about SW is from the parodying of it in Spaceballs.  But i did know SW existed, I just never cared.

No thanks, I’d rather be swallowed whole by an angry tectonic movement.

The PNW isn’t exactly isolated from seismic activity.  The puget sound (where Whidbey Island is) experienced a 6.8 less than 20 years ago.  There are some seriously intense faults that run through that area.  In fact Puget Sound has experienced a few major quakes and tsunamis in the recent-ish history.

Agree. I fly LAX-JFK all the time on Delta and beyond the fact that they’re always on time (something AA was never able to accomplish), the crews are all nice, helpful and polite.  I’ll admit, I do fly Delta One so it’s probably a little different but even though the D1 hard product is inferior to AA’s biz product, I

Exactly right. I’m sorry but when all 3 of your kids are not just felons, but *violent* felons, you’re the fucking problem.

They never made an E65, are you saying you want to build one instead?  Cause as much as I love a V12TT, not sure it’s actually a better engine than the V8TT in the E63.

I mean the picture is taken from a terrible angle (probably because it had to be surreptitious) and the lighting is painful so it’s hard to judge much here.

Have you driven both? I don’t particularly like Audis (although I did just ride in my buddy’s S6 and that is a great car) but before I bought an E550 5 or so years ago, I tested both the A6 and GS350 F-sport and I couldn’t imagine anyone choosing the Lexus in that scenario.
