Let’s cut to the chase - you said you wanted to learn because you are ignorant on the topic. Multiple people answered your question - aka they “taught” you what you said you wanted to “learn.” Instead of reading that and accepting the answers, you doubled down time and again with “what ifs.” The question was asked an

Los Angeles is a pretty big city and until Lyft and Uber, it was a nightmare to get a ride in this town. If you were downtown or at the airport, sure you could grab one. But unlike NYC or most major European capitals, it’s so incredibly spread out that there is no taxi service who is willing to spend the capital to

If you don’t already have a Toto Washlet, now is the ideal time to. There is no greater invention on earth and toilet paper is but a thing of the past.

It’s funny you say that. I drive a 911 and live in LA and they’re ubiquitous. I probably see at least 10-15 on my 7 mile commute every day.

No war is easy and especially at 18 years old.  And I can only imagine how incredible prescient that song sounds in a setting like that.  Glad you made it back safely.

Not that this is important but Sanitarium is on Master of Puppets (same as Disposable Heroes) but Harvester of Sorrow is on And Justice For All. Both great albums though!

The market has cooled, you’d be surprised. You can find a 5-speed 964 cab that is a decent runner for $35k or so now. If you can go Tip you could get one under $30k no problem.

964 cab.  I’ve solved your problem for you.  They trade at a bargain compared to the coupes and if you’re ok with the tiptronic (which is actually fun if you manual shift it), you can get a great deal on a wonderful cabrio.

Kay-ooooga.  What a pear-shaped loser.

You can. It’s just not guaranteed, that’s the difference. On delta you can get upgraded to Delta One even if you’re only a “silver medallion” (lowest tier). But on certain routes it’s very unlikely anyone will get a free upgrade and on those routes where it does happen, it’ll usually be a few folks who have the higher

That’s exactly what they do. The only time you see an empty biz/first is usually on vacation routes where you have very few people who hold status with an airline. I travel all the time for work and I can’t remember seeing an empty biz/first seat in years (and I always fly biz/first for work).

Yeah I don’t think you’re getting what I/we’re saying.  Those cars are driven, on the track, decently often.  Meaning those rebuilding hours/rubber replacement hours/etc are all being done constantly for much of those cars.  Very few of them would require that type of work to be drivable.

With a cocaine white interior nonetheless. How apropos.

There is a mechanics’ area there where they work and maintain these cars. Just because they are in storage doesn’t mean they haven’t been touched in years. Many of these cars see the light of day quite often (for a collection like this).

As I noted at the outset, these early C4s are, much like the 991 edition of Porsche’s 911, the redheaded stepchild of the model line.

Lol, when has this conversation EVER happened? I’ve got at least 10 close friends who own a Tesla, a few of which are what you would call “enthusiasts.” We talk about cars all the time and nobody has ever talked about how much range they get. What usually comes up is how cool it is to turn on your A/C remotely on a

Yep, different strokes and all that.  To me, none of those things matter if it’s not great to drive and I just found my C63/M3 to be fine but nothing that made me want to get in the car every day and wring it’s neck.

Owned them all (M3, C63, CLA45, hell even my wife drives a GLE43) and while there is some truth to the acceleration, there is no other reason to buy one of them over a 911 unless you just can’t afford a 911. The driving experience just isn’t the same and I never had any attachment to any of those cars.  They were fun

First off, get a lawyer cause the 40k payout is way too low for a 997 C4S cabrio (especially if it happens to be a 997.2). They should be paying you closer to 50k.

Nothing is wrong with that. I DD a 991 and have a 964 cab for the weekends, I couldn’t love them more.
