Jaco should come back from the dead and punch Drew in the dick.
Maybe it’s an LA thing but I’ve never had one person ever come up to me and want to talk about my 991. They’re pretty damn common here so maybe that’s why?
Very well put. I actually DD a 991.1 and I’ll admit the interior and electronics were a big part of the reason I went that route (I also just love the way it drives and looks).
In Los Angeles, there are tons of freeway sections that have no shoulder whatsoever. It’s pretty common on older roadways in areas that have grown massively in the last 50 years.
Exactly. Because it’s long been a driver’s car, finding a manual 911 from any generation isn’t hard. Even a used 991.2 can be found pretty easily with a manual although the ratio definitely started to switch when they released the PDK in 2009.
Metallica is definitely not hair metal. They practically invented the thrash genre, recorded the genre’s greatest album (although there is an argument for Reign in Blood to be made) and never wore makeup or teased their hair.
Fuck this moral sewer dump of a team, fuck Jason Garrett, fuck Jerry Jones, fuck the anthem, fuck the troops, fuck propoganda, fuck Trump, triple fuck Pence, fuck Mrs. Jones’ art selection at AT&T Stadium, Fuck Troy Aikman with Joe Buck’s Mic, fuck Terrance Williams with grounds crew’s sideline painter, fuck Julius…
The only people who hate 996s are those who have never driven one or those who need to convince themselves how much better than 997 is so they can justify the price.
It’s not at all a unicorn. I was searching for 996 cabrios for about 3 months to replace my summer car and there are SCORES of them. Hell, a new one pops up on BAT almost every week.
I second that. For a lot of 911 owners, that’s the first upgrade they do. Swap them out for PS4s and you’re grinning from ear to ear.
It definitely isn’t the entire west coast. I’ve lived in SoCal for almost 40 years and never heard anyone say it.
Exactly. This is clearly a well cared-for (and who doesn’t love a good set of monoblocks) example but these aren’t going for anywhere near this kind of money. This is clearly a case of the seller wants to get every dollar invested in it back out and the R129s haven’t really started to appreciate enough yet for that to…
Yeah but any Ducati with a stock exhaust is an affront to civilization anyhow. Nothing sounds better than a Duc twin with a full Termi or Akra system on it (especially the air cooled ones).
I wouldn’t buy a hybrid sports car. I’d just buy a sportscar (and did buy a 911 actually) that I liked. Not sure why having a hybrid would matter unless it was hybrid for the sake of being incredibly powerful (Laferrari, P1, 918) but this isn’t that. It’s just a nice car and nothing special.
Singer Porsches? Not really a cover but leather lined engine compartments.
I had one for a day of testing and it’s fine but no way would I pay that kind of money for it. It’s not as special as it looks like it will be.
Weird, I must remember to look at my kids closer because I haven’t noticed a lack of legs yet.
Yeah but they’re different. I’ve owned M3, C63, etc and they were all more powerful than my 991, but I wouldn’t trade back. Power and a great driving experience aren’t that closely linked.
That is a problem I REALLY wish i had lol.
