The 240Z sold very well during its heyday. The only reason they didn’t sell more in the beginning was they couldn’t meet market demand, they never thought it would catch on like it did.

This, plus other social services that illegal Imighants use at a much higher percentage than the general population

You don’t even need to go back that far. Anyone who remembers LA from the 80s knows what air pollution can do to you. As a child, I had a few friends with asthma whose parents wouldn’t let them go to LA because of what it triggered (we lived in the OC).

The point being made (I believe) is that if CA were it’s own sovereign nation, all those federal taxes being paid would stay in CA. Then the new CA government could use that to pay down the debt instead of financing megachurches in MI.

Look at the 2012+ models, they improved the interior quite a lot with that refresh. You’re still never going to confuse it with a true luxury car, but it’s light years ahead of the one you drove.

I gotta say (and watch your feet I’m namedropping here), if anyone will appreciate this, it’s Tom Hanks. He’s one of the good guys in this industry so I think he will be very touched by this and be very appreciative.

They occupy the lower end of that price range, yes you’re right (which is shocking that Yukons sell for that $). However, for the market at 100k, you’re competing with the ones I mentioned and no FCA product I’ve been in to this day comes close.

We cross-shopped them two years ago when buying my wife’s new car (ended up with an ML). They’re not bad interiors but I would never put them on the level of the S/7/A8/RR or even the new Cadillacs (and maybe the new continental but I haven’t sat in one yet).

I have ridden in a Maserati and that really just bolsters my point if anything. They’re nowhere near the level of a S/7/A8.

They’re insane at those prices.

I test drove a 991.2 Carrera and an S and they’re both amazing cars. So much so, I’m going to buy one as soon as my AMG lease is up.

University of South Carolina shouldn’t be able to use the initialism USC. They should have to change their name so that nobody confuses them with a school people give a shit about.

No it was Nick Offerman’s character in 22 Jump Street who said it, that’s the quote he gave.

Sadly there actually is a “mt olympus” in Los Angeles, it’s off of Laurel Canyon in the hollywood hills.

The one thing that can be pointed to is allowing the use of mark-to-market accounting (and fair value rules in general). The SEC certainly had the power to stop that dead in its tracks but chose not to and documents show they were aware of the possibility of abuses using that system.

I don’t know if that’s true. My wife is looking to buy one and with all the features she wants (and the ones I do like sport chrono), it comes out to about 65k(USD). Sure that’s more, but SQ5 with Prestige package is 61k. It’s not all that big a difference.

The weird thing to me is that the Macan is built on the same platform, but it’s a GREAT car, not just as great as a crossover can be, but genuinely a great car to drive, with a ton of utility.

Wow, a DEEP Seinfeld cut. Love it, have a star.

I mean, he’s going to the Cowboys, right? Even though they have a young stud at RB, they can’t possibly pass up this opportunity to solidify their reputation, right? Right?
