Fair point. I was more talking about the actual engine bays of those cars that have them (mostly different generations of RX models) and they all have enough space for a much more efficient, traditional otto cycle engine. Especially in the case of the FD where there is all the turbo plumbing, intercoolers, etc.

But a solid Otto engine will go 200k without proper maintenance. You will need to occasionally change the oil and a belt here and there but with a rotary you better be religious and even if you are, there are no guarantees. Because of this, rotary engines are only good for enthusiasts because they’re the only ones who

Pretty sure that is a foo dog.

Having just driven a 991.2S I have to say you’re insane. They are incredible cars to drive and hell it laps the ‘ring only 2 seconds slower than a Carrera GT or a 458 Italia. It’s as serious a sports car as is made today.

The Porsche Carerra 991.2 is quite luxurious, fits 4 (if 2 are kids) and is definitely a great sports car.

It wouldn’t really do that. I’ve electrocuted myself quite a few times switching out plugs and switches with the electricity still on and I’ve never had that happen to me. I think only static electricity has that effect on people.

Yep the curb weight is 5,441 lbs, which puts the GVWR at about 6,800 lbs. It even qualifies for the 25k tax credit usually used for buses or other mass transit based on their heavy weights.

It weighs less than a Tesla model X, which is insane.

Ir’s kinda amazing, I’ve been watching for about 45 minutes. At one point they started doing donuts on an overpass for about a minute. They don’t really seem to give a fuck.

If you read the article they are specifically calling out “premium” or “swanky” sports cars as those that have fallen off.

How does Lorenzo’s dick taste?

MCN is reporting that it is a done deal. Apparently they have a verbal commitment already and the details of the contract are being finalized.

According to many sources the ink is already dry, it just isn’t being publicly announced yet.

I’m starting the search for a new car and have been test driving 991.2s and according to the dealer I’ve been working with, only 1% of the cars they order/receive have the manual transmission. Part of that is because the PDK is probably the greatest autobox out there, but also because it’s just faster and only people

I met her when we invited her to a preview of Simpsons World. She’s a very nice woman who is just writing about transportation issues in urban areas. I don’t share the same vision of the future as she does but there’s probably many more people in her camp than in our Jalop camp. Doesn’t make her or “us” wrong, just

Nah, I don’t think Pedrosa has it in him anymore, he’ll get a few podiums but ultimately he’ll get injured and fade to mid-pack again. Also, I suspect you’ll see Iannone grab a podium more than a few times this year.

Are you sure the Mercedes cosworth 2.3-16 didn’t have the best chassis of any sedan of that era?

I do the exact same thing. I DD an AMG as well (but I’m not Melvin, I have a way radder name) and while I’ve long since gotten over the fear of door dings and just learned they will likely happen, I still aim for the nicest car I can find to park next to. Luckily we have assigned parking at work, but when you go to a
