You kinda have to love the fact that they built a Toureg/Q5 copy and then said “well fuck it, Porsche did it and so can we,” and then used that same platform to build a very similar car in order to sell for more money.

Goddamn towards the end it sounds like a Dremel right before it’s about to fail on you.
Exactly what I was hoping I would find. Now excuse me while I go in search of Cambodian breast milk.
Ok, so it’s a really fast car that isn’t exotic. A Ford Shelby Mustang isn’t one either. You seem to be having difficulty separating the fact that fast != exotic.
I’m sorry did you just call this an “exotic?” Excuse me while I clean the coffee off my screen.
Kinda. The difference being that the “slowly” having to release the clutch to stop the rear end from stepping out is all but eliminated. If you were to ride a standard clutched bike like that you would high side your ass to the moon in 0.2 seconds.
Basically it allows you to downshift quickly while braking very hard into a corner without having to worry about the rear stepping out on you or unsettling the suspension. It doesn’t totally eliminate it but it makes it FAR easier. Almost every modern sport bike comes standard with them these days but they really…
I’m sorry but that’s not what’s happening here. He just has his slipper clutch adjusted so that there is a lot of “slip” aka almost zero engine braking. Many racers prefer this - if you watch old footage of Miguel Duhamel when he rode for Honda, you’ll see he has zero engine braking.
The 2.0L in the CLA250 and GLA250 is actually a really great little engine. It packs 208hp/258lb-ft of torque and with a small car like those, it’s really pretty quick. I drive a CLA45, which takes that same engine and ups the boost to ridiculous numbers and I wouldn’t trade it for the 250, but when I’ve been given…
I think it’s just a 488GTB engine in a test mule. The difference is that the first video the engine is under load and in the second it’s just revving in neutral/park. They may also very well be doing some final exhaust tuning on the car so it’s changing as it gets closer to release.
They are great and certainly better than 90% of the manufacturers out there. Tom Hansen is a good guy who will work his ass off to find any part for you. However, there are still tons of parts, mostly those that were made by 3rd parties originally, which are NLA. A prime example would be the ignition tumblers for a…
They have all the molds and they will even bang out new sheetmetal from them for the right price. The problem comes when you’re looking for components that were made by a 3rd party. They are “mercedes parts” but since they never originally made them, they are now NLA. They may be available somewhere in the world but…
You can follow the MB Classic Center on FB and they post photos from in-progress restorations every day. If you ever get a chance to visit, it’s an amazing place and they really support every classic owner, no matter if it’s a low-mile 300SL or a W123 with 450k miles on it.
That poor engine is just being stressed within an inch of its life to move this thing around I bet.
One affects every driver, one affects one driver. Pretty obvious difference there really.
You broke up with her for that right? Because that shit cannot stand!
What is a ratchet, if not something used with a socket? Never heard of such a term.
This. This thing screams luxury. And you can make your money back on it by renting it out to people for their weddings and other occasions. That is if you can stand the thought of someone else driving your car, which I actually can’t.
Ha! Well-played. It was a her with the initials AK, but it wasn’t while you were dating or anything. Just saying that she was a lot of fun.
Hey, I had sex with one of your copilots for the Gumball 3000 (when you drove the Polizei M5). That was fun.
