Not quite, no.
Not quite, no.
Like I said the big 3 are HQ'd there and of course there are the Delphis of the world there as well. And thank god, because there is little else holding the economy up at all there.
I wish I had something funny to say, but nothing is funnier than VAG's sales numbers so I will let them stand on their own.
To carry out this task, I like to play a little game called: How badly did Subaru beat Volkswagen this year? I started playing this game last year, when Volkswagen – an enormous, powerful, multi-national conglomerate who creates new sales targets by adding zeroes to previous ones – delivered fewer cars than Subaru,…
Everything except for low unemployment, land value, income, etc. And yes I've been there plenty as GM was a former client of mine. I don't hate the city, but if you think it is on par with NYC or Chicago (neither of which I truly love either), you're wearing some rose-colored glasses.
Wow, so many people angry at this. You don't actually think Detroit is a modern metropolitan city do you?
But it's not. At least not in any other sense than just the name. Sure, the big 3 have HQs there, but the cars aren't even mostly made there and they sure as hell aren't sold there. The writing is already on the wall, the LA Auto Show gets just as many world premieres as DAS does and it grows each year. I wouldn't…
I thought so too, but at CES today I went through the Scoche (sp?) booth and they actually have some great kits that allow you to retain the HVAC controls and still install an aftermarket stereo. I doubt they would work for something like a BMW or MBZ, but they had plenty on display for VAG, GM and Ford 2014 models.
it feels just like trying to drive the first Ferraris with the F1 trans (355 I think). Horrible to drive at any speed below 100.
The QR code was just for anyone who was there to grab and get more info (like the pictures that the author posted).
I was there for Dr. Z's presentation and it made zero noise. It was pretty cool to watch and they let all the attendees up as close as you wanted to get so there was a crowd of people around it for about an hour. And to answer another question, this did move under its own power and the door mechanisms and all the…
My grievances are many - mostly that I'm always fucking gray and my witty posts don't get the recognition they deserve.
Gulf used a few different blues over the years. Neither is wrong, but the one that is used in this rendering is probably the more commonly known one (and IMO better looking) but maybe less "authentic" to McLaren.
Gas it out!
I'm guessing you grew up in the 90s? That's the only era in motoring when I can even imagine FWD cars being more desirable (and even then only by a subset of car people). RWD has always been the front-runner, except for the import tuner kids and people who love rally post-quattro introduction.
I'm pretty sure that this exact point was made by either Matt Hardigree or that Truck Yeah dude about a month ago. But I agree, and I think the GLA45 is gonna be an awesome sport wagon.
