Well, the TB tweet was actually somewhat funny and while I know you're biased, you must realize that Detroit is far from the top of the list of desirable places to live or even visit in the USA.

Ok, but you replied to the picture of the CLS shooting brake and than said:

What does the fact that we get an X6 from BMW have to do with the fact that we don't get the CLS shooting brake from Mercedes?

Euro 500SL (these are already expensive as hell in Europe) with pre-merger AMG work. And I can buy 2 for that money!

2.5-16s go for stupid money right now since it's basically impossible to get one registered in the USA (in Europe they're much cheaper). Now, the 2.3-16s are for sale all day for 5-8k.

I agree and disagree. From a pure technology standpoint, you could certainly be onto something. However, while the UConnect is better looking than the MB COMAND (what? they couldn't afford the second M?), the MB system is much easier to use while actually driving the car.

Little late to the party, but a) that sounds amazing and b) if you're in the US, these guys do tons of custom mercedes exhaust work: http://www.mbhmotorsports.com/ and they're in AZ with a pretty great track record as far as I can tell.

Well, Mr. Mini-hippopatomus already told us he's in high school. What's your excuse for acting like a teenager?

This is true, but also true of a lot of the ultrabook manufacturers in order to get the size and weight down. Because even the MBP, while thicker than the MBA, should really be considered an ultra book given its dramatic weight loss over the last few iterations.

I agree he's funny. And the first time you read one of his articles you will be laughing your ass off. However, he's kind of a one-trick pony. Once you've heard that joke that he tells so well, it all just becomes bland and expected. A good writer has a style that is funny, not one punchline that is tortured again

I would say that the one *issue* is that there are few writers on here whom I actually respect for their opinions. There's a lot of fun and a lot of inside jokes and I certainly enjoy those, but a lot of the writing here is based on little experience and is more focused on "how can I make a great pun," not how can I

Without revealing too much, I can promise you that isn't true.

Well then I guess that settles it.

Seriously? I guess I just imagined it was like LA everywhere, but even seeing a McLaren is pretty damn common around these parts. Hell, I see at least 10 Model S's when I pull into the parking garage on the lot.

Also, outrageously overpriced.

Yep, very correct. Anybody who thinks that Mac isn't configurable or "tweakable" or "hackable" just isn't really a power user and wants something to complain about.

Why would you put the engine into anything else? Anything else would just be worse than the car you just took it out of.

That is indeed the 101 interchange with the 110, just north of Downtown LA.
