I thought Walken was great and the only villain Batman Returns needed. The scene where he “kills” Selina Kyle and the one where he verbally spars with Bruce Wayne were both really great imo.

One of the few things I liked about the Catwoman movie was actor Frances Conroy (probably best known for her roles in Six Feet Under and the Joker movie) playing a kind of mentor to Catwoman. I could definitely see Michelle Pfieffer (or even Halle Berry) fulfilling that role.

What always surprises me about Gunn is how tightly his themes and narratives are constructed, and how much heart and poignancy is in his storytelling. Early on the show reprises the “Peacemaker, what a joke” moment from the TSS movie, and over the course of the season not only Chris but most of the major characters

There was a theory floating around that White Dragon’s next door neighbor is actually Batmite in disguise because Gunn has stated that the imp is his favorite DC character, the neighbor seems to admire Batman and his appearance could be described as impish. That led me to hope that Batman — or at least the Bat-jet —

If that podcast works, Marvel should follow it up with Skaar Talk.

It almost seems unfair to compare to Perez artwork to Jurgen’s. ‘96 was also a particularly awful year for Marvel books and speculator boom made it even worse.

Thanks for the info, I’d take Simonson’s legacy over Liefeld’s any day.

He just went through this whole relationship cycle with Olivia Munn. Rodgers is attractive, wealthy and seems more open minded than the typical stereotype of a football player. And he’s cultivated a set of celebrity friends, which is likely how he meets actors like Munn and Woodley. The relationship is great at first,

You can’t have crime without people. Women can get pregnant and produce babies, and babies eventually become people. Therefore women = crime. The republicans are right, again.

I’ve never cared for Liefeld’s artwork, but he seems to be a decent guy who is liked by his peers. Don’t know if the same can be said for Lobdell, haven’t heard anything about him in years.

I love the Kelvin cast (whatever his flaws Abrams has always been good at casting and chemistry) but the scripts have been mediocre to adequate (Beyond). They rushed Kirk into the captain’s chair imo, when it would have been cooler (and more realistic) to see him develop into the role over time. The storytelling was

I think the actor was miscast for Raven in that — whatever my overall issues with the series — most of the other cast hewed closer to the canonic look and basic persona of their characters. She was a disappointment to fans expectations.

Agree on every point, including Diop, though she is sexy, regal and fierce like Kory should be (she would be excellent casting for Storm). The show made Raven a typical goth girl and troubled teen, when she should be withdrawn, austere, and in some ways more mature than her years because she is trying to contain the

Blood, Simple motivation.

I think the main problem with Titans is the show runners and scripts, not the casting. I agree that Alan Ritchson and Conor Leslie were the strongest performances. But the only person i thought was seriously miscast was Raven.

And Brown is just as iconic for comedy characters like Mr. Krabs.
