“I’m grateful to his leadership and commitment to real culture change,”

It’s the one thing I can’t blame him for.

The president who pushed for it used to take his dick out and smack people with it.

Thanos is a cruel narcissist whose plan is not only sadistic — how else to describe watching your family and friends turn to ash and disappear — its not rational. Making half the sentient beings in the universe disappear is not going to solve any problems (at the same time creating enormous suffering) — at best it is

“If you don’t have at least a small ember of anxiety about the climate collapsing (or the U.S. teetering) I’m not sure Don’t Look Up makes any sense.”

Abrams is making a point by not attending the Biden event. She is too savvy to not know the significance of the optics of her absence, regardless of her excuse. She is not going to cop to the fact that this action is a snub because she doesn’t have to for it to be effective. She gets the optics of a snub but can also

I had forgotten that film but good call. That character was obsessed with outwitting targets and opponents. I’d still want some of the delirious, campy, narcissistic energy of the Under Siege villain.

I actually think it’s Tommy Lee Jones who was bad - he was badly miscast and/or badly used.

I’m old enough to remember that Andre playing Bigfoot on The Six Million Man was a major television event, but the (mostly) gentle giant in Princess Bride was truly iconic.

Now playing

I think you forgot Alex Karras, former Detroit Lion football player and professional wrestler who went on to very successful movie and tv career, starring in Victor/Victoria, Webster, but most notably he played Mongo in Blazing Saddles.

I was hoping for a gritty, post apocalyptic Snyder Cut-style reboot but ok.

Good. It’s time for a sexy sci fi reboot about precog crime: I Know What You’ll Do Next Summer.

The picture in the header is like a casting call for Victor Von Doom at various ages.

Hot take: Whedon’s version of Batman was one of the more refreshing takes on the character.

I haven’t seen Stir Crazy in a long time but I remember loving it as a kid. Pryor and Wilder were an oddly perfect comedy team.

He also got blowback from people who insisted that he wasn’t truly representative of Black Americans, being an islander. Because there’ll always be something to complain about.

I’ll never forget Black Lightning’s Afro mask.

Captain America nor Stark as Iron Man have the same shortcomings as Pym.

Pelosi is not a good tactician, she stays in power by delivering for rich donors. She is not successful in delivering policies for voters — her position is based on how much money she raises. The loathsome Mitch McConnell is a much better tactician, who gets his most of policies through whether he is in the majority

They don’t care about the readers, what they want is an established property to sell off for large profits. They are selling brand names, not an editorial philosophy or a readership.
