* Frankenstein’s monster, Dracula and the Wolfman in Abbott and Costello meet Frankenstein, though they don’t exactly team up as much as meet up.

Never said they were Democrats, in fact emphasized their political diversity and noted that most had some post high school education (which could include technical training). Most interns are coming from those type of post high school environment. One can be working class and go to community college or a technical

The really frightening thing in this story is the confirmation that the mental virus of anti-vaxx goes beyond class, ideology or corporate conditioning. I’ve never worked at CNN, but I have worked at other media networks and am familiar with the cultures. Everyone, including the assistants and technicians, have at

You are a little late to News as Entertainment debate, I think. Certainly the networks are aware that their content is a product first, a public service a fairly distant second.

Kenji Tanagaki, the action director on all the Kenshin movies, was the fight director on Snake Eyes. What was done to his work is an atrocity, its horrible  that this is his showcase to western markets. I hope Tanagaki gets to work with a better director.

Yes, I heard the action was incomprehensible and it sounds like it was all on the directors shoulders. Who uses shaky cam and blurry close ups when John Wick and The Raid (and of course the legacy of Jackie Chan) have proven that seeing the whole body do an entire motion is the most effective and impactful way to

I’m not suggesting that Crank’s variation on D.O.A.’s premise isn’t clever and entertaining: I really enjoyed the first one and even thought the sequel was ok. And most movies build on established tropes. West Side Story is variation on Romeo and Juliet, and the “tweaks” are profound and important.

So, my question is... were they her friends? I’m not really sure what she might mean by “weekly routine” here, short of employees.

The films are tonally different, but Crank is a minor tweak on the D.O.A. premise: the protagonist must complete a mission while dealing with a deteriorating (dying) body.

Good citation of the facts, but your message is falling on deaf ears uninterested in genuine debate and immune to information. There’s a gaggle of commenters on Root like this (I guess there is a gaggle of commenters like this everywhere), who seem to live for invective and polemic laced diatribes. Not going to move

I love this. There are many actors who have tried action roles, but Winstead is not only good and credible at the physicality, she has an expressiveness that brings the character to life in the midst of all the violence. I wish the filmmakers of Harley Quinn had given her character more to do, and when some streamer

God Damn It, ANoF!

So what are the people who have fun jobs supposed to live on?

You shouldn’t get paid if your job is fun. Same goes for professional athletes and Lady Gaga’s stylist.

Please people, take the side of pretty millionaires who’s genitals you’d like to see in movies again

What I’ve heard and read is that the real fight is over streaming revenues. The studios don’t want to give up any of that. But with the theatrical release model broken or at least severely damaged by the pandemic (and the consequential reactions by studios to shore up profits and grow their streaming business) talent
