The Robbie Reyes’ Ghostrider would be a big deal too, I think. In my future projecting head canon Reyes is the main Ghostrider while Johnny Blaze (still played by Nic Cage) goes into space and becomes Cosmic Ghostrider.

After watching Falcon and Winter Soldier, I’ve come to the conclusion that Val may not be a villain at all, just a good guy we won’t like very much, if it all. An “end justifies the means” kind covert operative who is not a rogue, though the government will never acknowledge her existence. She is not in this for

“Imma get full MODOK on your ass!”

The dirty little secret is Kelsey Grammer and Alec Baldwin are essentially the same white guy even though one is a Republican and the other a Democrat. They are both hot tempered man children with poor impulse control and horrible histories with women (and admittedly imo a modicum of talent).

I don’t care if its Donald Trump or Greta Thunberg, Jesse Jackson or Hilary Clinton, public figures are always an awkward cringey fit for SNL that says more about the show’s overly cozy institutional power than anything about comedy.

Yeah, he is very charismatic and will make a cool supporting character, but it is never quite as meaningful as a leading role. Sam was popular and important as the Falcon, but the second Steve handed the shield to Sam, he jumped to a different level of significance.

Race blind casting matters a lot, especially if the character is prominent, so I think a major lead role like Oscar Isaac as Moon Knight will matter a lot. But I believe there is an equally strong desire on the part of POC and other marginalized groups to see aspects of their culture and history reflected in roles as

The show wasn’t very good, but overall was a better showcase for his martial arts skills and his character — a cocky gangster who looked out for his family and friends — was more engaging than the generic hero he played here.

So many options as to where this movie can go narratively — Thunderbolts, Dark Avengers, Masters of Evil and even the Serpent Society are potential antagonists — but I have to assume it will feature or at least set up Sam leading a team of New Avengers. The threats —and co-stars— in the film have to scale up from

It is a better use of Emily VanCamp’s talents—as an avid Revenge watcher back in the day, Sharon Carter’s sunny warmth never quite suited the actress.

Its not my fault that your cat thinks I’m purrrfect.

Even when Cage saves the world, he’s still comic relief, as Boon notes in this video:

Even while acknowledging his importance, Ed Boon himself says Cage is the comic relief of MK11 in this video.

Michelle Pfieffer is the absolute best imo, the one who best combines all the best elements of Selina Kyle — cat like physicality and sensuality, seductiveness, amorality, deceptiveness, the ability to ride the razor’s edge of being dangerous, mischievous, sympathetic and almost admirable.

Thanks for the correction—I’d forgotten I’d read that somewhere. His accent in this, Wu Warriors and Into The Badlands gave me the mistaken impression he was from North America.

Tan is Asian American.

To be fair, Lewis Tan is half Chinese. But I have no idea why he couldn’t have played a half-Chinese Johnny Cage.

Being aristocratic and a member of the military is entirely possible irl and in the context of the story. But its also a (WWI/II era) cliche that didn’t feel necessary or quite work for me based on the way the character was set up in Civil War.

Zemo’s barony bothered me a bit too, so I head-canoned a solution. Zemo had access to all of Hydra’s files and committed it to memory, so it would be simple for him to acquire the title and fortune of a Hydra member who no longer needed it.

That exploration gets lost in all the shootouts with confusingly charitable terrorists and team-ups with inexplicably wealthy super-criminals going on in the show.
