Maybe, though more likely (perhaps?) it could have been six degrees of covid separation: Sturgis was the 2nd week of August, IIRC, and he died almost a week into October after only being symptomatic for a few days; that six-ish week gap between events seems a bit long if he had attended the bike rally in person

They’ve been irrelevant for years. It’s just our dogged determination for minority rule that keeps them in power.

I’m not in California, so I didn’t really follow the lead up that closely. But my general problem with all of these items put before the populace for a vote is that they are confusingly worded; usually on purpose. They word them in such a way to influence the vote a specific way. They word them in vague / unclear…
