I’ve been half looking at getting a classic/older truck to be my daily since I’ve been put on work from home duty. Gas mileage isn’t a concern anymore since I’ve gone from driving about 200 miles a week to about 30—40. A 25 gallon tank would last weeks. It’s make me miss my old C10 and F150. 

I live in one suburb and work in another but covid-19 has proven to me that the last thing I want is to be around more people in a denser environment. Take mass transit at this time or in the foreseeable future? No fucking way. Isolated by myself in my car is safest way to get to where I need to be. 

I went with the “old” 2018 SJ Forester XT for that exact reason. No turbo in the 2019. I couldn’t be happier. Well maybe if it offered a stick but c’est la vie.

If you want to stay in the Subaru family and got the scratch, upgrade to the Outback XT. You’ll get a much more powerful motor from the current 2.Slow and a roomier car for your growing family. The extra power will be very beneficial for those California hills.

Beer is my spirit animal. IOW, the term is so ubiquitous in our society it’s a losing battle to even attempt to police it or educate someone. No one who uses it out of hand is going to care. pick your battles.
