Instead of spending $100K on a 8 year old Targa, I’d rather spend $110,000 on a *new* standard 911 coupe.

I fail to understand why someone would buy a vehicle, like this one, and only average 80 miles per week, driving it, especially in/around Los Angeles.

For me, the lesson here is we need to teach financial literacy in our public schools.

Literally the only one on Getty.

Damn, their sources didn’t even request to be anonymous for this. They clearly had their lawyers review the article beforehand, and the sources absolutely do not give a fuck. Kudos.

The car flipping on C&B really grinds my gears. It’s not just the slimy practice of the flippers, but that Doug took his car nerd enthusiasm and credibility and parlayed it into a medium that has enriched him and warped the market for cool cars that shouldn’t have become so exclusive or unobtainable. Don’t get me

This story was shrug worthy to me until I got to the “I’ll enjoy the new car but my payment on that one will be higher as the down payment is now lower.”

Ya that particular era, and for Toyota most of all, was very marked by the plastic-fantastic, Fischer Price My First Interior aesthetic. But if you’re bouncing around, big bulbous buttons might be good.

I’m seeing prices from $10k less (for a little older but similar mileage) to $10k more (for a little newer with 40-50k miles).

you don’t see a whole lot of them anymore

Gotta be kidding. This is just a runner or a scrapyard car. It’s not a $6000 starting point. It’s not even a $6 starting point. The seller didn’t even bother to clean it. And neither would I. Just give it away if you don’t want it.

ND - Dented, ripped and looking like a $40 motel room after a trucker’s party. Rare but almost dead is how I see this sad Audi. It’s a $2,000 car for someone who craves it, at best.

Boomers who buy Vettes don’t like mail-in ballots.

Biggest miss with the Dodge Dart, was they never gave us a modern SRT-4 with it.

agreed 100%. When I bought mine, there weren’t a lot of EV options period, and like I said, even today there really isn’t a car that can do everything the model S can. Its been frustrating to see other car manufacturers copy Tesla in every way, good and bad. And among the bad things they copy is the touch screen

bring it back, if only for this one.

For $33,000 you could be the next person to drop a new engine in it!
