That one almost got me too. Needed a car, looking at GTIs, Gladiator lease prices came out and... Well, luckily the only ones available around me were priced at 60k.

I recently bought a CPO and there were some good deals available on SE and Autobahn models. It seems like you can get a SE with more options for cheaper than a Rabbit right now.
“A 2019 Ford Mustang, with a very advanced platform can be had for $25k. A 2019 Ford Ranger, with the same 2.3L engine and 10spd automatic? $34K —- $9k premium for an older platform, simpler suspension, lower-grade interior, and all the pomp and circumstance of being a truck owner in America.”
Where can I get some of this productivity fluid? Vacation last week has me slow to adapt to work life. Hence, why I’m in the comments section currently.
I’ve had several women co-workers go in for the hug and it’s just weird. I don’t know you like that weird. Then again my car salesman gave me a hug when I took delivery of my car. Maybe I give off a hug me vibe?? I really hope not. Give me a head nod or shake my hand just please no other touching.
There is definitely something to be said for pulling up to any gas station anywhere and not only do they have gas, they probably have regular, midgrade, premium, diesel, snacks, and possibly even a car wash.
Agree. But I think it’s a matter of the cars themselves. They are seen as kinda smug mobiles. Either people are saving the earth by buying a Prius (SERIOUSLY, you just wanted to get better gas mileage and don’t care what your car looks like) or buying a Tesla that has some style and is basically a luxury vehicle. I…
I say people that have range anxiety should just buy a Volt. Electric most of the time and a gas generator when you need more range... Oh yeah...GM cancelled the Volt.
Or just let us import anything we want within reason. There are certain cars that I would gladly pay shipping for if we could only get them in the states.
Or convert to AWD and add a turbo. MAZDASPEED 6 Wagon!!!
This is the first I’ve heard that cargo shorts are out. I just bought new cargo shorts at Old Navy to replace my definitely outdated plaid shorts. And my wife even commented how they look so much better than the short, tight shorts right next to them. Too hipster we agreed.
My GTI seems to be crazy fuel efficient when driving normalish and semi efficient when driving spiritedly. Although this has about double the horsepower of a stock GTI.
Totally agree on Torch. Gotta disagree with Journey being fine. I owned one for 10 years. '09 bought in '08 and traded for a '15 Town and Country last year. It is unbelievable to me the difference in quality between the two even though they were manufactured by the same company. Best thing I can say was the Journey…
Stow and go is awesome! People hauler to being stuffed with an entire deck worth of lumber in seconds. 2015 Town and Country owner here.
Good catch. I thought I saw ground effects on the side view. But you are correct, no louvers on the tails. I always wanted a GT with the Pony rims but as I get older I think the LX notch holds up better. Still want the Pony rims though.
This. My wife knew how much I wanted to get another manual that she agreed to learn. There are rare times that we swap cars and she'll need to know.
I bought a GTI manual this weekend. I hadn't had a manual in 11 years. I'm sure I was riding the clutch so I wouldn't look like a newbie but we made it through the test drive and while I currently have to think about what I'm doing now than I used to, I feel it coming back. Now to teach the wife!
My wife bought me a save the manuals decal on the way to pick up my car Saturday. I'm usually with the Jalop crowd when it comes to decals, but this is a cause I'm concerned about.
I was looking at manual Renegades as well. Since I couldn’t find a manual I dropped the idea. For one, I really wanted a manual. For two, we have a vehicle at work with that engine/transmission combo and NO WAY!
I went to a Ford dealer when I was looking at Focus STs. The salesman comes out and asks what I’m looking for...a manual transmission I tell him. The salesman says I don’t know if I have any of those. Umm... I’m standing next to a Focus ST. The sales manager comes over and basically tells me I’m dumb for wanting a…
