True. I’m amazed at how many people just go to the dealer without checking the internet first. I found the car I wanted anddrove past plenty of dealers cause they didn’t have what I wanted even though they were closer.

But not impossible. Back in the day I had a manual transmission Ranger with manual steering (considered an option in the 80s and early 90s). I remember picking up Taco Bell and eating the tacos while driving. The vinyl seats and rubber floors made for easy cleanup.

This is surprising that it’s this high. I was recently looking for a lightly used manual CPO GTI and was only able to find 3 in a 150 mile radius and I live near Chicago. 150 miles covers Chicago and Milwaukee for me. In a 100 mile radius taking away the CPO requirement I was still only in the high teens. Perhaps

GTI. He can ditch the Jetta daily and get a GTI. It'll baby way easier than any of these suggestions and it'll be a better performing sports car. This is the whole reason the GTI exists.

And this is why I have to drive an hour and a half away to go see the car I want. Only 2 in 100 miles. Because people drive appliances.

I agree. Although most people I know don't know how to drive a manual. I love driving but even I am currently driving an automatic because marriage. However, I told the wife that my next car will very likely be manual and to my surprise she told me she'd like to learn.

Looks like a GT.

Those tiny chopped onions aren't just regular onions that are chopped. They are dehydrated onions and you would want to buy dehydrated onions to get the same effect.

Unfortunately I’m the opposite of an impulse buyer. More analysis paralysis than anything. But I truly hate it. My wife fully supports whatever purchase I make even if it’s a dumb one. She just wants me to make a decision already. There is very likely a GTI in my future. It meets my fun car requirement but also is a

Ya know what bothers me. People with bald tires. I think I’m gonna petition the HOA to fine those people with unsafe tires. Maybe send them a warning when they hit 4/32" and have them towed when they get to the DOT limit.

I’m not alone! I'm not alone!!! Around my old office I would see a Trabant commuting at the same time as me. I followed that car so many times just because when have you seen a Trabant on the expressway.

David Tracy, you sir are a good dude.

Bah....Accord w/1 million miles with three engines. How about a Cavalier w/300,000. Original engine and transmission. AC has never been charged but still blows cold. It's needed oil changes, tires, a few batteries, an alternator, and fuel pump. While I have nothing but contempt for the car, the Ecotec engine and rest

This is the way I do it. We pay ourselves first. This means all the bills, long term savings (retirement), and short term saving (vacations, replacement car) are paid first. We then leave enough in the account to pay for groceries, doctor visits, and fuel. The rest goes to us in cash. If I want to eat lunch out all

Or buy the Mazda hatchback?

Came to say the same. STs have quite nice manual transmissions. Might’ve well just shown a Fusion to report on the faulty Focus transmissions.

At one of the HOA meetings someone complained about a plumbing van (brand new Transit) and an electric company van (brand new ProMaster). The electric company guy explained that he has that take home vehicle occasionally because he is on call for the sub station that keeps our lights on. Someone else complained about

Personally, I think that truck is severely moderate.

I would probably be one of those neighbors. It runs, drives, and gets me to work daily. As long as my neighbors don’t have a junkyard I could care less what their running and legally plated vehicle looks like.

Me too. It just means that someone has the same interests as me. Unfortunately we have mostly boring cars in our neighborhood and more unfortunate I’m currently part of the boring car problem.
