I work with a guy like that. He knows it's a car made by Ford but half the time can't remember if it's a Focus or a Fusion.

While I was buying recently the local dealers had the car I was looking for listed 1-2k less on their websites than CarMax. Lol, I currently have a 16 year old car with it's original muffler. However, a car just 14 years older than that needed a new muffler every 2 years like clockwork.

I came her to say the same. You never know someone’s circumstances. However, I also agree that people need to be more responsible and think about maintenance and not just how much are the payments. I know people that are like that. But call me crazy I like living within my means. 

I saw a pretty good example of one of these for $1500 on marketplace. Looked to be made of actual metal as well.

I picked up on that as well. "I will pay him the amount requested." Um no you cheap ass pay him the customary 10% on top of the 5k you already have him. In fact let's just round to 150k the extra money is worth more than the fake apology because you got called out.

The cars seem few and far between as well. The Chicago Auto Show is always packed and they have a huge space. The auto show is the thing I look forward to after Christmas to get me through the miserable Midwest winters.
