Bah, my salesdude yesterday was talking 84 and I chuckled. He then said, “seriously, everyone that comes in here goes for the 72 at least.”

So I’m not crazy for thinking the GTI had a more composed and compliant ride? I drove a GTI and a FoST yesterday and couldn’t help thinking that the GTI just ate up the bumps and potholes, while I think I ran over a bug and felt it in the FoST. Could be I was really tired and sitting at a desk at work all day.
Yep, hilarious. I’ve talked to a couple people about wanting a FoST and they keep telling me these awesome deals they found for an automatic one around 8k.
I looked yesterday and with my X-plan the sales manager had me down to $22,500 on an ST2 with the optional rims.
Tested a 2018 GTI and a FoST yesterday. To me the FoST felt a little more cramped in the front and back seats than the GTI. Plus the GTI felt more refined and absorbed shitty Indiana roads better. The GTI seemed like 4 adults could ride in relative comfort.
Not sure about the Recaros but I want the better infotainment. If they offer the better Sync in the ST1 I might be a buyer.
These rust so easily and that I’ve never seen one more than a year old without rust.
I learned something new. I owned a 94 XJ for ten years and never noticed.
How about low profile all terrains. I saw a 4 Runner with ill fitting rims on these yesterday.
I was thinking the same. If I’m out on 94 this.morning I’ll look for an old Jeep on the shoulder.
There should be a GPS installed so we can track his progress/inevitable breakdowns. Think where’s my pizza like some places use, it would just be more like where is David stuck and in need of reader assistance.
I never considered this. I sold cars almost 20 years ago and it wasn’t unheard of to have $4000 sitting on a car. I remember a BMW that had $4000 and a spiff. My buddy who sold it made something like $1500 on that car.
This works for Direct Loans. Is there anything similar if you have FFEL loans? Other than the type of loan it appears my wife qualifies, at least the initial qualifications.
I was looking at all the close up pictures and thought I couldn’t even afford the rims and tires. Then I realized the only thing I could afford is the valve stem.
I had to re read it. By saying most sets of tires don’t cost $400 I thought maybe it was only on select cheap tires. I think the last time I spent under$400 for an entire set of tires was back in the ‘90s buying a set of 14s for my truck.

I’ll take mine in potato beige and swap in a 3 cylinder from a Fiesta.
Hmmmm...$56k for a Kia. Don’t get me wrong, I really like this car. But, I’m thinking the depreciation curve will be pretty high and you’ll be able to get an awesome lease return in a few years for a fraction of the initial cost.
WOW, I just looked this up on IMDB and found out that there wasn’t just one of these “sequels” to the Smokey and the Bandit series, there were several.
I had a guy at work talking to me about getting a good deal. I told him that a good deal is one where you walk away and feel good about the price you received. I’m willing to pay a little more for better customer service, just not full MSRP.
It was used in the original rebooted Star Trek where Kirk stole the Corvette and again in a more recent Star Trek movie in a scene with the Enterprise. I just watched both and damn good use of the song. However, you got me thinking. I think my morning commute will probably better with Sabotage as well as my morning…
