Not to be snarky but I don't think that's how pregnancy works…

I guess, except for technically Damon now right? Since he's waiting for her to die naturally to get Elena back.

Listen, I just flat-out reject the assertion that there's anything about IIF that says this is uniquely a white guy's story. Sorry. At the heart of Iron Fist and Danny Rand is a story of cultural displacement, race is secondary. He doesn't have to be white for an audience to get that. Yes, he does need to be rich and

I have read Brubaker and Fraction. But I still don't see your point. The point that is frequently made in the comics I've read is that more than anything else he's not from K'un Lun, not that he's a white guy, particularly (especially since he's not even the first white guy).

Omigod. You are trying to kill me! Tuttle Mandrake. I love it. x1000 upvotes. Thank you!

I think that's a sort of simplistic way to view things. As you yourself said, Danny Rand wasn't only racially a fish out of water, he was culturally too. That's no small thing. My parents are not from the US (though they've lived here a long time). When I go back to their country I am seen as an American best case

I have. And that's why I think casting someone that is at the very least bi-racial could help at least bring this story into the 21st Century. The "Great White Hope" nature of the original story is highly offensive. A little race-swap could at least do something to remedy things.

Yeah but while Chanel #1-5 and Predatory Lez are obnoxious parodies they don't play into the same sort of odious stereotypes that Black women have been trying to distance ourselves from for time immemorial. Murphy may possibly hate lesbians and greeks too, but his loathing of Black women seems pretty decently

Why? Just so he matches up with the comic's representation of Danny or for some other reason? (Real question, not snark).

Whether or not he hates or is unfamiliar with women in general, I'm convinced Ryan Murphy hates Black women. That said, I still watch this and every season of AHS, so what do I know?

How so?

I've been praying that Marvel/Netflix hires an Asian for Iron Fist/Danny Rand. But if it's anything like the whole Sony-email leaked SpiderMan thing, it's fruitless.

I actually liked this episode. I laughed more during the "silent treatment" part of the episode than I have at any whole episode recently. (Not to say I haven't liked them, they just weren't laugh out loud funny). Chris Messina's face was the whole thing and it was masterful. I also know what it is to be on a road

It's still a bit weird for me…like the exact EXACT same type. Ugh.

You may not believe it but I am totally with you. And for that reason I'm shocked that I'm even saying this but they did actually address those two things already. Fitz offered to resign and Liv told him unequivocally no. He decided not to run again so they could go make Vermont jam and I believe Liv, Mellie and Cyrus

For clarification purposes, can someone help me? Did Cary screw Alicia with those investigator names? It looked like he took them from her and then passed them straight to Diane for poaching purposes. Was I wrong? Did I miss something? Wasn't he just supposed to be checking them out for Alicia?

Despite myself (as I think many people are saying) I'm digging it thus far. Admittedly, I've set the bar extremely low: some coherence? check. Gaga not embarrassing herself or somehow being embarrassed? check. supernatural stuff? check. Angela Bassett fabulosity? …it still remains to be seen. Right now, they're giving

So are they saying that American authors are greedy or that they can only afford to develop properties that are already in the public domain?

@gf120581 Yeah, it seemed like she married Peeta…oops spoiler, I guess… more out of gratitude for him showing her life could and does go on than anything else and she had kids 'cuz he wanted them to.
