It’s a weird scenario, but I can’t get past the fact that even when he thought he had his virtual background on and a....mesh shirt (?) he still chose to be on camera while in a bathtub during a work meeting. Like turn your camera off, dude! It will be fine.

I question why he had to soak in a tub during the meeting—how long was said meeting? Is he on some kind of schedule for his pain management and if so, why book the meeting for that time? Why not join in audio only if he really couldn’t do one or the other later or earlier?

This one’s a little more difficult because it’s easy to assume from our perspective that an employer will listen and accommodate if an employee is honest about having medical needs. But it had to come to sitting naked from the waist down in a meeting?

It has to be intentional, right? Why pick that time to take a soak? Why leave your camera on, it’s already inappropriate to attend a meeting in a mesh shirt. And “the battery died, but the computer stayed on” story doesn’t sound right.

Somehow the mesh shirt and virtual background make it weirder and worse. Just turn your camera all the way off and put a piece of tape over it to be extra safe!! My partner and I got frisky this morning after I’d already logged onto work and I SHUT MY LAPTOP JUST IN CASE.
