Count me as one that fantasized over that car. Still the hideous driving experience was obvious. The show was never very well edited, and in many of the “far out” shots, and even in a few of the “closer” shots, you’ll see where K.I.T.T has a very normal steering wheel attached. Still, it was fun to watch the stunt

Should have tried super pursuit mode...

Knight Ridin’ ain’t easy.

So what you're saying is... terrible for road head?

No fun until...

Mercedes actually objected to this rule/penalty change last year, and here we are... They said it would be abused. No one listened and said they are saying bcoz they are too reliable and dominant to give any advantage away...

What exactly is this BOP? What if I show up in a 15yo Toyota Camry with 300,000 miles? Does the race organizer force everyone else to use a 2mm intake restrictor?

I never really liked this whole “pole position” qualifying system in motor sports. Sure it is technically “faster” to put faster drivers/riders in front. But on the other hand, the whole sport won’t exists without audience, and the audience loves “passing”. I have argued in the past, and I’ll argue again, the whole

If you’re bored because Lewis is winning all the time, you’ve have absolutely hated it when Michael Schumacher was winning. Year after year after year after year after... well you get the idea.

It’d be amusing, if unrealistic, if Hamilton and Alonso had to start the equivalent amount of distance behind the pack as their penalty states, thus incorporating the imaginary amount of racers they’ve been put behind. In other words, they start the race in the spot that 66th place would be if the grid actually went

I’d settle for having imaginary cars on the unoccupied grid places and the penalized drivers starting waaaay back.

Finally a F1 race worth watching as Hamilton drives through the pack and once again proves just how dominate the Mercedes car is compared to the rest of the field. I always have said their are a few teams each year who compete for the title and that list is getting shorter as time goes by.

OK I have almost no knowledge of the rules here. Do teams have to keep the same engine the entire season? Why would previous engine trouble matter? I’m trying to get into F1 but some of the rules still confused me.

This is how it should be. Why even have a power unit limit if you can just fit 5 extras in one weekend and only pay the price in that one race?

Not the biggest Ham fan, but it's going to be great watching him go through the field.

I’m not a fan of the regulations either but I’m glad Mercedes found a way to abuse the system and get a bunch of new power units with a single weekend’s penalty.

I think they listened to something their dad told them when they were a kid:

Hand grenades are more stable.

Hide yo kids, hide yo wife...

Takata should just changing the labeling on their product from Airbag to Claymore. “Front toward enemy"
