Are you arguing just for the sake of arguing. OP said nothing about two passing cars. I acknowledge that if you’re passing someone else, then yeah you can finish your pass. But if someone is coming up much faster than you, then you don’t have to pass every car in sight before moving over. You can move over when

Its called common courtesy. It's when douches like you get on the road and think they're the almighty righteous. You are a living troll (on the Internet, and on the highway). Keep doing what you're doing, because it's clear how miserable you are.

Who said you cant do that? Key word is passing.

Common courtesy outweighs your “right”. I have a right to walk around with my pants around my ankles cropdusting while tooting a horn anywhere I like. Doesn't mean I do it for all to hear.

Yes! I love having a pace car in front of me eating up all of that police radar.

COTD Right Here Guys. You can all go home now

$20 and thank you. Really. Thank you.

And I always drive slow but I also understand that means I need to stay glued to the right lane so other people can pass me.

I just want ONE person who doesn’t do it to give me a good reason why. I don’t even think of myself as a particularly kind person who cares about others but I do it. Why the F is it such a big deal, especially if you are driving SLOWER than someone? I just don’t get it.

Thats not how it works or should.

Your post should be printed on giant billboards.

But how will self-appointed road enforcers feel important if they can’t impose their will on others?

Same here. I’ve even slowed down and got over for people who happen to be going faster than me. It’s common fucking courtesy. And it’s sadly missing in NW Missouri between KC and St Joe, a route I drive every single day.

Repeat after me: the left lane is NOT the “fast lane” it is the passing lane. It is for passing, not for cruising, regardless of your speed.

One of the most critical pieces of information I can provide a person that feels the way you do is that it’s not your job to police the roads. If someone chooses to do something you consider dangerous, do what you have to do to be safe but don’t obstruct them.

Ugh, that’s the worst you can do. Be in the lane where you go with the same speed as everyone else. If someone is behind you trying to go faster, let them go, you are safer, he is safer... everyone is safer.

This, forever and ever.

No.

I always stay in the right lane while I’m not passing. If I am in the left lane and passing some cars and someone else is behind me in the left lane going faster than me and I can’t get over to the right lane because there are other cars in the way, I speed up until I can complete passing the cars in the right lane

I wager the vast majority of them just pay zero attention to their surroundings. In my experience riding a bike in LA, most people never even check their mirrors.
