Splinter doesn’t believe in voting and I’m not sure they even know primaries involve it in the first place.

Here at Splinter, we pride ourselves on calling out politicians for their errors, no matter who they are screwing over Democratic candidates and helping their Republican opponents win.

Huh. Here I was thinking this would be about the white reggae band that opened for him on Saturday.

We don’t all look the same. I mean Audrina has darker hair. I feel like Mischahas darker hair. But yeah, we’re California girls and it’s a group of friends and that just happens to be the group that came together.

Or, Pelosi took the GOP demands for a resolution that was supposed to condemn Omar and actually turned it into a rebuke of Trump, the GOO, and all of the hate that floats in their wake. 23 Republicans, including Liz Cheney, voted against condemning hate and anti-semitism.

Did I have to resort to insults to make by point? No. You shouldn’t have to either because all you did is make yourself and your points eminently dismissible.

So AOC shows a bit of nuance and Splinter loses its mind. So unexpected!

She can’t effect change through Twitter clapbacks alone. She represents a diverse constituency, including people who voted for her and disagree with Omar. She’s doing her motherfucking job.

I’m glad I’m not the only one to reference this (although I don’t know how to embed the tweets, I did link them in my response). I certainly hope the author simply missed these tweets, because the article sure goes out of its way to ignore them.

Based on these tweets,I think it’s reasonable to think she spports Omar and the position that it’s legitimate to criticize foreign policy as it pertains to U.S-Israel relations:

I was SUPER inspired by Hillary’s campaign, and this post veers from snarky to really insulting.

This is all I have to add: I wrote HRC a letter the day after the Election thanking her for her years of service to the country and how emotional I was and blah, blah, blah. I was literally pouring my heart out. Nearly two years later I received a letter in return. How many politicians would take the time to reach out

Jesus christ this is a piece of shit post.

Of course she’s not running again. She’s smart. And not the Homer Simpson variety. I commend her for it. I wish she would have been our president even now. Every day, in fact.

“though it’s hard to imagine why anyone would want to take advice from someone who ran a famously uninspired campaign.”

Years ago Jezebel was an amazing feminist site. Every single day articles about sexist happenings in society were on the front page. Sexist men were mocked and deconstructed. Systems of sexist oppression were called out. The comment sections were hilarious and brilliant. All of those feminists have left the site -

What with all the stroking of Bernie on the GMP pages (and make no mistake, that’s what this article is doing, too, as the white guy who couldn’t win the Democratic primary in 2016 is running again, but that’s okay), I start to wonder if there are rubles coming into the GMG writers’ paychecks. It’s getting ridiculous.

She’s been spending her time quietly raising tens of millions of dollars for Alliance for Youth Action, Arena, The Collective PAC, Color of Change, Demand Justice, Emerge America, Indivisible, iVote, Latino Victory, National Domestic Workers Alliance, Run for Something, Swing Left and Voto Latino.

What an utterly disappointing piece. Sorry you don’t like Hillary, Lauren Evans. But that isn’t the same as Hillary running an uninspiring campaign. I’m going to take a wild guess that a majority of the millions of women who marched in the cold the literal day after 45’s inauguration would take issue with your

I do want to reply to my own post and try to come at this from a slightly more sympathetic angle: I suspect I get what you were doing with this article, and I hope I get where it’s coming from. It’s snark. It’s intended as snark, and nothing else. It’s lulz. The internet likes the lulz. Some parts of GMG haaaaate

This was gross and, in true white woman fashion, ignored the voter suppression that was rampant in the 2016 election.

Ok cool.
