I have an honest question that’s kind “inside kinja”. Do you think these people, here in this comment section, who seem to be...uh, “progressives”... are actually people in the US? Like, I’m looking at some of these names and they’re always ragging on Dems. Which, fine, whatever, in a comment section about HRC’s book

Sounds like a McDonalds youth hostel.

Ohhhhh, I was wondering about whether it was international. The dollar sign was throwing me off.

I live in a small city that makes it pretty effing inconvenient to get fast food. It’s all on the outskirts of our very walkable neighborhoods. I had a craving for McDs on a Friday evening (real happening adult social life, amiright???) so I got in my car for the first time all week and drove out to the boonies and

Oh my god, THANK YOU. I was hoping this comment section was going to be nothing but ogling that bizarro thing. I scrolled down and was like, “WAIT WE ARE JUST OKAY WITH THIS?!?!?!?!”

Okay, but I think instead of putting up a photo of a “leading conservative thinker” your graphics/design folks put up a pic of a college freshman.

“Inflatable guy outside car dealership gets a real job” Is gonna make me chuckle all day long :)

Oh, I feel the same way. Like, I mainly rag on them these days (in my own mind because people don’t want to talk to me about politics podcasts in real life, I WONDER WHY??) for their attempts at jokes and not so much how performative their indignation is. After they were so pissed at the Dems for not shutting down the

Yup!

Lovett gets a total pass from the occasional eyeroll-jerk-off motions I make when I listen to them because he is effortlessly funny. The other dudes can be so try-hardy with their self-righteous wit.

I was always afraid of pie. My day job is in research biology, so I am absolutely dope at following a recipe and therefore can knock out the baked goods like a champ. However, something about always hearing about how people’s grandmas gave them a crust recipe and made pies with them added this mythical aura to pies.

Ooo, I’ve seen a fair number of people out in kinja who really don’t like PSA/Crooked crew, but hot damn I love listening to Lovett get fired up like he did on the most recent show!

I’m checking back in! It seems like it is common to use sensitivity to the bitter compounds in stevia as a measure of certain taste perceptions. In one analysis I’m looking at right now the authors found that Northern Europeans were more sensitive to the bitter notes.

WHY do people think this bullshit about “who shows up” makes our disappointment in white women (white people in general) any less valid???????????

I don’t understand how people live anywhere near the place they grew up in for this exact reason.

Someone give this guy a fucking medal.

It is alarmingly refreshing for the punch that the Torpedo packs. I love it.

You know what Sierra Nevada’s I’m a sucker for? The frickin’ Tropical Torpedo and that Sidecar (pale ale?). I don’t even like citrus as a fruit to eat all that much (gimme a peach any day over a clementine). I was wondering about this guy. I’ll give a shot. SN is hella reasonably priced for a taste test.

So obviously it’s not surprising to me that people have different preferences when it comes to certain flavors. Like, if you had a grandma that made you eat gross beets, you’re just not gonna like eating beets. HOWEVER the interesting thing about the way everyone here is tasting stevia is that it has a similar

OH MY GOD, right??? Like, who are these people that get off on being the weird stranger on the internet who eats the right, infinitesimal amount of ice cream?? I almost never have ice cream in my apartment, but when I’m feeling it I’ll buy a pint of B&J’s Chubby Hubby and see where the evening takes me.
