Dan Marino was way too dumb to understand the nuances of a modern offense. He wouldn’t be able to get the offense in the right play at the line and would get eaten up by the closing speed of most modern DBs.
Also, the fact that they convert these kind of plays at a great than 90% clip means that the expected value of going for it tilts even more in their favor. Since Garrett’s never going to get fired as long as Double J is around, the typical excuse for play-calling conservatism (less criticism in the case of failure)…
Edit: Whoops, I made comment about power plant being nuclear, but actually it burns lignite.
Yeah that’s what I noticed too. In the middle and late innings, Hernandez was iffy with low and inside calls, and it seemed to turn against the Sox more than the Yankees, so yeah, the umpiring was mediocre, but both sides were seeing calls not go their way.
I was at the game and the ref called "excessive celebration". The NFL realized the crowd noise covered it up on the broadcast and so they tried to cover their tracks after the initial public outlash.
As a fan of the opposing team, you have a right to be there and not get hassled, but if you're wearing a big obnoxious cheese head you deserve what's coming to you.
Makes sense. And I should know cuz the F I just got on my math test was nearly an A.
Lonnie Smith is Pretty Good.
It’s pretty well known that Dak is not a good quarterback, and just had a fluke rookie season. Just watch the most recent Brett Kollmann video for a film breakdown of his many shortcomings. Dak isn’t just bad, he is glaringly bad. From reading defenses pre-snap and getting the offense in the right play to finding open…
Tom Landry spent a game in 1971 swapping out Craig Morton and Roger Staubach on every play and then went on to win the Super Bowl. Sorry you can’t understand the mind of a champion brah.
I don’t mean to pump the brakes, but that Kizer “pass” was lobbed right to him. And also he stopped running on the long Cobb touchdown reception because he didn’t expect to be back in the play until Cobb hesitated along the sideline at the end. Had he kept running and gotten to Cobb before the end zone (which is what…
drew was a lot more intense in his younger days
Tbh, I think you should limit the candidates to this series to only teams that were at no point in the top 10 or 15 last year. The whole point of the series, it seemed to me from its description, was to talk about teams that often get overlooked in Division I football...
At least in European languages, a lot of them use the full or a shortened translated version of Video Assisted Replay (Videobeweis, arbitrage video, etc), but when they do say the English acronym most seem to pronounce it as a single word
Rennais is the adjective for someone from the Rennes, so while “Rennais defenders” makes sense, the match itself would be “Rennes vs. Marseille”
Companies can definitely refuse to hire diabetics. Many trucking companies don’t hire anyone who has to take insulin for instance, in order to avoid potential liability issues should their lulls in blood sugar cause inattention and potentially an accident.
What’s sad is this article isn’t specific enough since there are two Beef O’ Bradys on Cortez Boulevard in Brooksville, FL. Sounds like a hell of a town.
I guess he found the fourth true outcome
