I know PBR and Miller High Life are “hipster” now, but I can’t imagine a dive bar not selling them. I mean, let’s face it, that’s how they became “hipster”; because when you were in some shitty hole-in-the-wall to see some underground band nobody had ever heard of, they were usually the best thing the bar had.

Is there a difference between frozen and cold-treated? I’m honestly curious as to whether I can use the inexpensive frozen salmon fillets my local supermarket stocks to do this; that would end up making a lot of lox for not a lot of dough.

This kind of shit is why I never got into MOBAs. I don’t know what it is about them, but they seem to draw the shittiest people ever, and those kind of people are no fun to play with at all.

I disagree with the idea that, just because you own something, anything you choose to do or not do with that thing is automatically moral or justified. In fact, I find such an idea absurd and repugnant.

IIRC, all salt is considered kosher, but kosher salt is called that specifically because it is used in koshering meat (i.e. processing the meat according to Kashrut). The flat, flaky shape of kosher salt granules makes it especially useful in that process.

I learned to read as a toddler (mostly from my older brother, as Mom was a single parent at this point in her life and was already busy enough between business school, making sure we had enough money to live on, and keeping house), and I came out of it with a lifelong love of reading.

Sega.

Not really. I’ve made falafel a few times, and I’ve never had to take any action to deliberately “fluff” it. You just add a little baking soda to the ground chickpea mixture, and voila.

Exactly. I mean, he’s right to a degree; every publisher does fuck up now and then. But when you fuck up as often over as sustained a period of time as EA has, it becomes a pattern. And you can’t blame us for noticing that pattern, noting the values that EA apparently holds, and spreading the word about how garbage

Sometimes, I really dislike my gender.

Again, though, many of the exit polls in those early states indicated that Trump was the leading second choice as well.

Oh, like I said, I’m sure it can be used responsibly, like anything else. But the whole “use it or lose it” provision just seems really hostile and problematic. It’s kind of like payday loans or rent-to-own schemes - people can use them in a responsible manner, and some people do so, but the manner in which it’s set

Dolt 45 wouldn’t be in office if 9 Republican candidates had opted not to attempt to become President thus lowering the bar for the number of votes you need.

FSAs are such a huge scam. I mean, I’m sure there’s responsible ways to use them, but the idea that I would put my own money into this and then I lose it if I don’t spend it just never sat well with me. It strikes me as just another way for bankers to steal from the common man.

You say that as if it’s a problem. Falafel is delicious, and most of these substitutes are not.

Favourite vegetable patty? The Indian spiced chickpea patty at Trader Joes.

Nobody’s better at laying low than John Cena, though. Unless he wants you to, you can’t see him.

You’re Canadian.

I don’t know if I’d call it the first of its kind. I mean, there’s Heavy Rain, Life is Strange, Telltale’s entire oevure, etc.

The pie casserole sounds intriguing. I’m envisioning something like a dessert lasagna, with alternating layers of pastry and filling.
