I'm A Different Bird

Hm. That does definitely cast things in a different light then.

You have a link on that? Because this article makes it sound like the kid is just a user of the cheat software, not a developer.

I’m just going to say this:

Or show up with a PowerPoint presentation.

Looks interesting. My pie roster for this year is set already (Dutch apple, chocolate pecan, and pumpkin), but I’ll definitely look for a time and place for it in the future.

Pecan pie isn’t foreign. It was invented in New Orleans, and pecans themselves were a part of native cuisine. The word pecan is derived from the Algonquin language.

As I understand it, stuffing is cooked inside the bird, dressing is cooked in another way (usually baked in a casserole dish).

Good point. OTOH, I just decided to do some googling, and I can’t find a single reference to isopropyl alcohol being harmful to wiper blades. To the contrary, most of the references I found recommend using it to clean them (including this article from Popular Mechanics).

Don’t most commercial windshield washer fluids contain alcohol?

Maybe if he had paid attention to that “regulatory buffer zone”, he might still have a truck. But nah, he ain’t got time to play by your rules, man.

I’ve run powerline networks through different circuits, and even through a subpanel. YMMV, but in my experience, as long as they’re on the same meter, you’re good.

Yes, that is definitely something you need to check before taking the plunge. My add-on needs are relatively simple; give me uBlock Origin, Lastpass, Greasemonkey, and User Agent Switcher, and I’m set. For those who rely on other add-ons, it might be a better idea to stick with Firefox ESR or one of the ports until

Just switched over from Firefox ESR (after making sure all my add-ons were compatible). I can definitely see the difference in speed - this new version is fast.

I’d rather get used to not buying AAA games.

CDPR’s next game is Cyberpunk 2077, so I think you’ll get your wish.

To be honest, I’m not sure we’ll ever see the kind of hard generational cut-offs that characterized console gaming in the past again. The hardware is commoditized enough at this point, and the software abstracted enough, that they simply don’t have to happen. It’s far more likely that we’ll see rolling console

So again, you want a more extreme version of the bill that they barely got passed and still, 8 years later, is not fully implemented due to blind obstructionism.

The ACA mandated a lot of things, including putting in some pretty hefty penalties for employers that don’t provide afforadble health insurance. It covered a whole fuckload of ground; it was not simply about the individual mandate or the exchanges, those are just small pieces of the whole. For more info on what ACA

Indeed, that would have worked better. But it wouldn’t have happened. I mean, what you just named were basically more extreme forms of two of ACA’s tentpoles (expand Medicaid, and mandate employer coverage), and we’ve already seen the Republicans practically suicide bomb ACA as it stands. Republican-led state

It’s not healthcare for all, but it’s a hell of a lot closer to that ideal than we had before. And I, too, want to see Medicare for all, but I’m not about to let the perfect stand as the enemy of the good.
