Half of the scripts from the MCU are dumpster fires.  The plot of Civil War is a rip-off of the public response to Man of Steel.  The screenwriters are offering little in the way of grandiose narrative.  It's popcorn entertainment

If you don’t like silly plot contrivances, you’re disqualified from liking any of the MCU films.  Silly plot contrivances are Kevin Feige's bread and butter - this movie was never meant to be enjoyed by you.
