I think the answer is you don’t have to prove how cool you are while watching a movie, or while writing about it.

the song is fine, honestly plays for me like a partially fleshed but unfinished idea. the video is great, the video is eminently re-watchable, and that makes the song re-listenable.

i don’t necessarily agree with you on all the points you’re making, but i don’t entirely disagree. i enjoyed most of the original trilogy and first class, and i was never bothered by her performance, but i don’t know that much comic background about her character so maybe she or the writers/directors did do a bad job.
