how did BMWQ miss this? The Q community is so good at finding parking lots with cars in them. /s

Meh. It was a good deal. But at the time Tesla was sitting on a nearly $500 million dollar US government backed loan. Gigafactory 1 cost an estimated $322 million - as of 2016 for about 5 million square feet of usable area.

Citation? The first hand built prototype of the S wasn’t until 2009 and Tesla didn’t start manufacturing the Model S until I believe late 2010 or early 2011. You’re saying they just anticipated needing a bunch of presses in 2008 and bought up a ton of equipment nearly 3 years before bending the first metal?

Additionally, giant diesel generators had to be brought in to keep the cars juiced up, though they were later replaced by a Supercharger,

Regular outlets are supposed to handle indefinite power at 80% of the breaker rating. Old houses though I wouldn’t trust the wiring since safety wasn’t very good all around.   But getting a dedicated outlet with an industrial socket is pretty cheap.

Or maybe you’re burning straw fanboys.

Tesla didn’t seem to go through the paperwork with ‘Ring officials to organize an exclusive time slot on the track which is required for any sort of timed record attempt

I personally have no desire to ever own an EV. I feel like they are a fad

I think the Germans could have split the difference of the range:over-engineering ratio to squeak out some more range.

I’ve seen people ‘carry water’ before but you’re driving a water tanker here.

I like the concept of automatic emergency braking, but I feel it should not be advertised as a feature. Rather it should be standard equipment that is regulated and just works, and most owners don’t even think about.

“So it’s advertised to run into the back of fire trucks? I must have missed that one.”

Does the United Club card cover Global Entry? I thought that was (for some idiotic reason) only on the explorer card.
